A little bit. I'm definitely not as daft as I was in 1999/2000. The point I was repeatedly making (and trying not to make again) is that it's more important to be financially stable than relatively young. I'm more financially stable now - take two parents with the same amount of love and ability. The one who can afford things and can spend more time with them cos they don't have to work loads of overtime will be the better parent. Privilege being a hamper or adversity being character-building is the only argument against it.
You're right, people that say that money doesn't matter when you have kids are idiots or have no ****ing clue how much it'll cost. There's no point in scraping by, wait a bit, get some cash sorted and go for it. Just having kids for the sake of 'being young' makes you a selfish dick.
