i would say yes to your question, but i remember a user on the old beebs (not sure if he made it to this forum or not?) that used to get the lineups of games spot on every time, and turned out he knew someone who was close to Carra who gave the team details out. think that was during Rafas time, don't know if it has got stricter or not, but like you say the bib theory, if its that easy to know our team lineup what's the point as opposition have a huge advantage, but then it didn't make much dif under Rafa he just took to long to ruddy change things if it wasn't working.
I think most of us could work out what the side will be anyway but it does seem a bit daft. Surprised someone as professional as Carragher would let the tam sheet out though!
I think Enrique is back as well. Hopefully wisdom is as well so we can push Enrique futher up the field.
Couldn't care less if opposition clubs can work out our starting 11; it's not exactly hard to predict and our system is always the same. First time in a long time I'm happy seeing Downing start, think he's finally deserved it this time. Made up to see Hendo starting and Allen dropped, more energy, stronger and more likely to run into the box. He's deserved his spot too.
