Just decided to start the 'Thy Saviour Cometh' challenge and this is the simulated results of the Southampton team I've taken over ... please log in to view this image
FM12 Pentagon Challenge update: 1/5 complete! My first continental Champions League to be ticked off is the 2030 Copa Libertadores. Colo Colo 0-3 Sao Paulo Sao Paulo 2-0 Colo Colo Hopefully it won't be another 18 seasons before the next one. Summary of career so far: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Clubs managed MP Black Aces Enkopings SK FC Zwolle Seongnam América (MG) Philadelphia Union Orebro SK NK Osijek Empoli Nottingham Forest Sao Paulo Cup wins: 4 League wins: 3 Promotions: 4 Game time so far: 23 days, 4 hours, 23 minutes. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ So now there is literally no point in me remaining in South America, but I'm tempted to just give the Club World Cup a go next season. Next step in the challenge is to find a job in Asia, Africa or North America. European Champions League should probably come last.
The challenges (along with the FM Classic mode) really do add an interesting element to an already excellent game. Whenever I'm struggling with a poor run of form/injury crisis etc. in my main game I just load up a challenge and can be finished with it in a few hours.
Quick update on my Cardiff save, of course made it to the premier league after going 41 unbeaten. However, due to financial troubles i have only got £5 million to spend. Also just been offered the Spurs job but im not sure whether to take it. i prefer more of a challange!
Why you should always pay attention to the fine print: offered Schneiderlin a new contract, was surprised that he accepted at a fairly low dollar figure. Failed to notice the massive escalator for his first international appearance (in part because I didn't realize that he hadn't yet won his first cap, as it took until age 27...what the hell, France?). Now he's making 115k p/w, a good 25k above anyone else in the squad, and I'm going to have to seriously consider selling him.
Competing in my first ever Club World Cup! Wydad Casablanca in the semis, and then Man Utd or Persepolis in the final. Exciting.

I hate the "Wage after x games" clause. Didn't realise a player (can't remember who) asked for 60k, but 100k a week after one match. ****ing capitalist pigs.
Well I sold him at the end of 2016/17 season for 6.5 mill when he was 2 stars, probably worth around 12-13mill at his peak.
