Also, we gave them too much respect and space after scoring our goal. We weren't closing them down and harrying like we had up until then. If we had done that and closed out the first 15 minutes of the second half it could have been a very different game.

Congratulations on Chelsea for winning the league cup, it is now on a plate. How boring.

Chelsea have a hell of a team, and no time is a good time to play them as SAFC found out to our cost recently, and they will be challenging for the title.

Unless you win the competition it doesn't make much difference who you do and don't play well against. Who's to say that we wouldn't have made the Quarters ourselves if we'd had four home draws, as opposed to an away draw and a homer referee?

I'm not sure why you're looking at attendances anyway. Results and league tables are understandable, but checking how many people turn up to watch another club? Bizarre.

Yeh they certainly are shows what can be done if you do it well compared to say getting relegated to league 1 from Prem :D

Cheers for reminding us Lion. We tried to buy success in the "Living the Dream" period. All works well until you don't make your minimum target. Arsenal are a good example. If they don't make Champions League for next season, how many of their stars will stay? Wenger may have made selling British stars to bring in cheap foreign french imports into an art form & the crowd may have given him a stay of execution as their now 5th in the league & pushing hard for a top 4 finish, but top 4 this year is still a bit of an ask for them.

Time will tell, but Wenger's future & that of Arsenal in general is not as rosy as it could be.

Arsenal are slightly different as they have lots of cash available but refuse to spend any of it!

Also they don't have any world class players left to sell. I agree top 4 is getting increasingly less likely year on year and despite their ability to beat spurs 5-2 twice now I still think spurs have a better squad and are a more attractive prospect to potential players. For all their problems there still a top 6 club.

Leeds could not even buy success. Even Blackburn managed it.
Leeds back to a rugby town. Population bigger than Liverpool, only one club int he city but only 20k gates. Embarrassing

When you put it like that it really is embarrassing for such a 'massive' club.

Saying that you do know that within 4 years they'll back to being top four PL don 't you?

You're missing the point and is there really any need to start being personal and abusive?

Why are you getting involved if you support Celtic anyway?

I'm a bit confused, that is unless you're one of these plastic types who supports two teams?

Or maybe you're from Ireland or Scotland and support an English team?

If that's the case I'm clearly wasting my time.

I must confess I was disappointed to see Chelsea rip Leeds a new arsehole last night. You've only got to look at this board to see they've already got more than their share of them. <ok>

That's the one thing that really makes me laugh about Leeds. They mock Chelsea for 'buying success', without mentioning that they tried that themselves - only to fail. I'm not sure how spending money you don't have on a Champions League semi-final is any better than having your owner fund a League, FA Cup, League Cup and Champions League winning team.

I am genuinely lost for words.

I was also born in 'Yorkie' I'm assuming(again) that refers to Yorkshire and not York itself ?

I have French ancestry as opposed to Irish so could also utilise the Celtic theme if I felt the need, which I don't.

I could also change my username to Francoyorkie.

Then again I'm not that sad.

That's because I see myself as being from Hull and as being English.

Why does every one on the Leeds board come from anywhere but Leeds?
