"He has passing ability as good as anyone in the country, he's one of the best if not the best"

"Of course he's a great centerback, he won the Champions League."

    - Jamie Redknapp

How can this guy consider himself a pundit?

You know who else won the Champions League in that Chelsea squad? Jose Bosingwa, and he's bloody ****e.

Looks like I am in the minority in thinking this bloke will make a terrific midfielder then.

Not at all, he's great at everything apart from being a centre back. :)

As much as I disagree with Redknapp often he has a point. Luiz does have a great eye for a pass, possibly unrivalled for a CB in that department.

I think it's the potential that annoys people with Luiz, there's always an error in him, but he is a talent for sure. You don't get made Brazil captain if you aren't.

Don't think he's a CB though, would rather see him in midfield.

Just seen his pass for Hazard's goal. Surely a better defensive midfielder than Mikkel?

His pass to Hazard against Monterrey was even better, I think it's his natural role.

Thought Harry was supposed to be in for him too for a second there! Great player, as is Bosingwa, but I also think he's a better midfielder than CB now.
