I'm probably jinxing this, given our last game against Blackpool is likely to be a dead rubber, but if we win our last game we will have taken 55 points from a possible 57 at home. That equals Mourinho's best ever season at Chelsea, and is better than Arsenal achieved in their 2004 season.

It's not the greatest thing we'll achieve this season, but worth a mention given how many defensive injuries we've had this season <ok>

Maybe he meant "on a high". As to end the league season with a victory rather than our reserves being beaten.

82 points would be nice but CL is more important than getting 82 points. Rather us win the game VS Burn and then rest our whole first team against Blackpool except Nani who needs to regain his form and Berbatov and Fletcher who also needs games.

Resting players when you don't have another game for 6 days is pointless imo, particularly when they won't have played for 8 days before the Blackpool game. Rotation is a necessary evil at times, but now isn't one of those times. Tbh if players need more than 6 days rest before a game, I suggest they find another profession.

I'd rather have the players sharp and on a high going into the final. The last 2 times we've tried the resting players ploy, it has failed miserably (ahead of Chelsea in 07 cup final and Barca in 09 CL final) when the players looked rusty. There's nothing like match practice.
