If he's not Malky's second half secret weapon then Velikonja out on loan, plus Kiss and maybe Ralls. Possibly Harris once fit on a short trm deal for game time. As an outsider McPhail? All with 24 hour recall of course.

Out for good? Earnie if he hasn't gone back to Israel and Jarvis - on loan at Forest Green. A good lad but won't make it at our level.

Just been down the squad list and other than some of the Development Squad youngsters on loan for game time I can't see any others.

What will be much more interesting will be who comes in and other than the rumour for Danny Graham which he has denied I haven't heard of any others.

What interesting targets does anyone else have?

Bluey - Now take this in the spirit which it's passed on please. I have absolutely no back up.

Haven't mentioned until someone asked and I'm very dubious about doing so now, but had an email from an old work colleague oop north last week.

Amongst other things he's been an avid football supporter all his life of Sheff Wednesday (but please don't hold that against him). He's also got his ears very close to the ground - and no, he's not a midget!

For my sins, I've packed in the up and down the motorway toil, but he hasn't.

He was in the Midlands last week and was led to believe by someone he regards as very reliable that we (Cardiff) had been discussing taking an out of favour striker on loan in the New Year from a midlands Prem club, but he'd just got injured.

Now unless you regard Stoke as being in the midlands, there's only Brom and Villa, and apparently the player's first name wasn't Marcus.

I couldn't really give it credence, but........Wages? - <yikes>......Hmmmm, just how serious are these Malaysians?

Okay that's a good starter for 10, now where's those pesky bonus points. If it was to be (after recovery from injury), by some stretch of the imagination, the person rumoured then we'd better also sign Harry Redknapp's missus as she is better at scoring headers from 3 feet out. Oh, no need for that we've got HH!!!!

After all it is the season to be jolly.

£64k per week, no wuckin' forries.

I would take Rodriguez on loan for the rest of the season, Vas Te is a bit to pretty and not very clinical, but i think the real target is Danny Graham.

Daily Mail says 3 Prem clubs looking at him, Sunderland, Norwich and Reading. Vaz Te out injured for up to 2 months. The list shortens by the day!!!

Boyd looked class last Saturday and would certainly give us options as would Kenwynne Jones, Rodriguez (who we wanted last season) and the other rumoured person who we can't name.

J Rod is very much in our plans. He started the last game & Lallana picked up an injury so he will be starting on Saturday.

    Only rumours History.

The rumour mill is going full steam ahead so anyone of the sort of ability we might be looking for, who has not had a regular game recently, is likely to get a mention.

Been thinking about this talk of Graham - here's my fivepennorth on a very interesting subject.

I think the suggestion that he'll be joining is too pat an answer, and just conveniently fits the Malky/Graham past history together. The fact that he's a Swansea player would have nothing to do with it - I'd take anyone who'd help get us past the playoff positions.

I liked Graham at Watford. He worked very hard for Malky and the team and will always score, but maybe not always at the right times when the game needed to be turned on it's head with some individualism. I got the feeling that Watford ultimately failed that last season Malky was there partially for that reason. The work ethic didn't produce the final product.

What worries me is that Malky seems to like workers in his side sometimes at the expense of flair. His frequent preference for Don Cowie over other squad members is a prime example. Earnie (although past it IMO) was never a "Malky" type player and would never have come back had the deal with Forest not been done before Malky got his feet under the table. Velikonja may be another sufferer - who knows?

On the other hand, Helguson fits the bill precisely - hard worker, fearless, plays with his heart on his sleeve, knows where is head is - but sometimes forgets where his feet are. <doh>

He may have to set those principles aside and take the plunge on someone who can turn a game. Thinking "outside the box" with a player "inside the box" may be needed to get us over the line, but I expect we'll have to do it the "hard graft" route.

As long as we do it. <ok>

Won't happen but Darren Bent would make a wonderful Xmas present, someone with a bit of pace who could get into the box quickly not park himself there waiting and good at holding play up.

Xsnaggs, its just a bit of fun and Sparkey's clues were not too hard to solve.

And if you want to know the name look at SBB's post.

ITI - as for Chris Wood looks like a bit of a queue to get him, including Brighton, Millwall, Norwich and every other bloody club. Looks a snip at £1m although that may just be the starting price if a bidding war breaks out.

Hey Snaggs - chill fella!! What's the FA got to do with it anyway. We're in the FAW unfortunately.

Sorry you couldn't work it out pal. Didn't want to say he was bent as it may have gone down the wrong way Azerbaijan..........<laugh>

I'll just say this is the same Wendies supporter who told me about 4/5 years back that Ridsdale was up at Brammall Lane talking to their local rivals about a young lad called Billy Sharp. We needed to replace the departing Chopra who'd gone to Sunderland.

They'd taken Sharp from Scunthorpe where he'd been banging them in like crazy for them as a young kid, but then couldn't get a first team spot with the Blades.

Apparently the clubs had agreed something, but Sharp was a bit of a home bird at the time and wanted to stay up there. I did put it up on the old 606 as "rumour info" at the time. I think he eventually went out on loan to Doncaster, but the story was broadly correct. We then got the unknown Ross McCormack under the radar from Motherwell instead, and the rest is history.

Who knows about anything in this game - it's all just football chat and great fun (unless you're in Baku <laugh> )
