    Fair enough.

I didn't suggest you were claiming for anyone.

Younger parents are far, far more likely to claim state help and their offspring are far, far more likely to ****ing rob me at some point.

The two best sets of parents I know (outside me n Mrs Bib, of course) both have one kid and had them in their 30s.

Neither of those two families would've been better off having those kids 10 years earlier - quite the opposite, in fact.

Folk having kids in their 30s aren't "nutters" - quite the opposite again.

im not talking about early 30s. thats fine. but especially women who intentionally wait until their late 30s or early 40's (like i said earlier) to have kids are not only stupid but full of risks to themselves and the baby. as a biologist i know the statistical risk in having late pregnancy (if it is your first) and i dont understand any woman who know this and still chooses to have kids later. then they also say that they are being discriminated against because the nhs does not do IVF for women over 37? its pathetic. they are sueing the nhs because they choose to have children later and then realise they are not fertile. unbelievable!

Mine are the same SN. My Ma said to my wee girl the other day she was to go to the shop and top my daughters phone up with 15 notes (as per) and she said not to bother as its close to Crimbo. Probably the Prod in her as I would have taken the money and bought cider. My Ma obviously still topped the blower up.

Didnt see the nutters comment Bib but you are applying a sweeping label too. I had my kids early 20s and they are fine. They wont be robbing you anytime soon.

It`s usually parents that both work full time and are too busy to give the kids any attention, that make up for ignoring their little treasures by spoiling them rotten.
I had a mate that had nearly every Star Wars figure and vehicle , i used to go and play at his after school and little **** would even dictate what the poor mum cooked for dinner.

I'm not applying labels - statistically, kids born to younger parents do worse (I was 22 when my first was born, my sister was a teen mum)

I had a daughter when I was 22 and I had my (hopefully) last daughter when I was 34 - I am a better parent to the younger one than I was to my eldest. It's pretty straightforward.

They're fairly sensible ages. Who knows, though, maybe another four or five years wait and your dad might not have had to do all that overtime.

I was brought up a stone's throw away from what's been confirmed as Scotland's poorest scheme - I'm alright and I have a well-paid job now.

Doesn't mean that, statistically, people from that area are less likely to be succesful.

My Ma waddled up the aisle in Holy Cross Ardoyne at 18 preggers with my eldest brother. He manages a chain of hotels in Florida now and has a pool out his back 20 minutes from Miami. My other older brother 2 years younger than him teaches English in Barcelona. Prime candidates for Crimewatch right enough.

Jesus Christ, you're taking it really personally.

Would they have been worse off if your mum was 28?
