    Thanks for the welcom guys. Its good to be back where the banter is fun and there are no idiots like Garry to jump out of the wood work and winge everytime we loose. Its good to see so many friendly faces. I think im going to like it here.

    Another public holiday here, VE Day celebration. Another day lost to a weekend.

    All of the war memorials have been decorated with flags and fresh flowers and will be holding their ceremonies this morning. At the end there will be the vin d'honneur supplied on the rates. All of the societies get an allowance from the council to get the wine in for such events of maybe €50-100 depending on the size of the commune.

    If there's anyone you want to avoid you can add them to your Ignore List, bhd, so the WUMs will soon realise there is no one to read them. It hasn't happened yet (to my knowledge) but if someone WUMs, I reckon the best response is to post what comes up when someone on your Ignore List posts, straight after their post, so they know you're not reading them. It goes something like "You cannot see this post because X is on your Ignore List..."
    Suffocate them, effectively. Why WUM, if no one's reading you?

    <ok>

    The fact that I am still here rather than tucking in to my first course is due to the fact that Mme decided it was time to bring her summer wardrobe out and see what to wear today.

    Expecting her to be ready any moment I have discovered that she is claiming that everything she owns has shrunk over the winter. <yikes>

    Hello!

    Could someone a bit techy help me please? I've only just worked out how to do my Biography, after thinking I'd done it, but that was a Visitor Message! Well what I need to know is how do you change the colour of your Member Page thing please? I see a couple of people have quite jazzy yellow ones, and I wanted to theme mine but can't. Also, what is the difference between an Avatar and a Profile Picture? Do I need both?

    Thanks.

    Hi Andy - I'm not the techy you seek but can help with the avatar / profile but. The avatar is the picture you see under our names here - mine is a modified Welsh Dragon. Th eprofile picture - which I hav not bothered to do is the picture that sits by your membership name on your profile page. As for decorating your member page - I look forward to someone answering your question so I may give it a go too. Need to pay a bit of attention to my member page as I have not really done anything to it.

    Afternoon all - Very nice day in Bandit Country. Very busy day as well, had to do some work and now preparing tomorrows dinner and today's lunch!...after the excesses of Friday and yesterday, it's a dry day with plenty of water and Peppermint Tea...

    ATR to change your profile's colour you need to go to settings (top right of this page) and then on the left of the settings page is a tab to customize profile (somewhere on the left). It's all in the FAQ section ,if you get the right key word - which is the real guessing game, I used "change profile".

    I would change mine, except I don't have sufficient priveliges and can't see this tab.

    Leo is there any way to get rid of the global threads! Surely there are enough relevant sections to start articles!!! I think the global tool is a good one ,but imo it is being misused!

    Game of squash followed by a sauna always worked a treat for me. Followed, of course, by a crash course in time management! Learn to do them a bit sooner :biggrin:
