Just been given a nice bottle of Glenfiddich by a client for a Christmas drink. Tidy. Got a bottle of Famous Grouse yesterday off another one. Not so tidy!!
It's ok. I can't exactly send it back and say I want something different. I bought a fresh bottle of Talisker last week when Tesco had them reduced, I'm now well stocked of good stuff for me and Grouse for guests! Just been given a nice Rioja and Sauvignon Blanc too.

Have you tried the Penderyn Whiskey? Top stuff and well worth doing the tour. That's ok, I'm not easily offended.
Yeah, I have tried it and it's pretty good. Was given a bottle at a Swansea sportsmans dinner (Norman Whiteside on the mic.) and I buy my Dad a bit every year. Doesn't have the depth of flavour of the likes of Talisker and Laphroig and I think it's overpriced down here too. Well, the lasagne kit was ok. 6 out of 10. When I make my won though it's a ten so it's a long way behind being good enough! Got roast chicken breast sandwiches for dinner today. On white Hovis toastie thick bread. With mayo.
Once I've finished my latest bottle of Penderyn I'm going to try some others, how much is this Talisker?
