Highly unlikely that Rodgers doesn't know.

  2. I know that is what you meant but my point still stands, Rodgers may completely believe that Raheem will sign a new deal but only Sterling and his agent know what he is really thinking and if the contract expires then there is nothing the club can do about it.

I don't see Ince as a replacement for Sterling at all, like I said I've seen him play many times as an attacking midfielder and one that likes a shot so I think that if he is to come back to us he may well play at times for Sterling but is more likely to play the attacking midfield role.

I'm with Gerrez on not wanting either but if they did come, I would cheer for them and really really hope they come good.

i think we could attract a Huntelaar type of player now to be honest, but the issue is :-

is that the type of player Brendan wants, and will the owners pay the wages if that is an issue in signing him, sadly i think its no to both.

we can get decent players at the moment or at least attract them, but the longer we stay say around the 5-8th mark or even worst damn it!! in the league and don't show any progress and keep buying average players we will become less and less attractive to play for, and then we will only be able to buy the ****e we have been linked with now, when we can at the moment do so much better.

it seems like we take one step forward but 2 back all the ruddy time to me.

just have to hope Brendan knows what he is doing.

What's wrong with Liverpool? First an English manager buying rubbish then a Scottish buying more rubbish and now a Northern Irish manager buying yet more overpriced and overhyped British talent. Please spend half of the money
on some decent foreign players instead.:confused::confused:

If the Sturridge signing happens we shouldn't be too down about it, the lad has loads of talent and if our coaching staff can get him doing the right things then he could be a very good player for us.

Lots of if's but it wouldn't be the worst signing.

With Ince I was never a fan, thought he was average in the reserves but again hopefully he has improved and can do well for us. Both are young and once again it seems we are planning for the future.

F'yall i'm looking forward to us signing sturridge. Rodgers has worked with him in the past and is obviously confident that e'll get the best out of him. This is his chance to finally prove with a run of games that he is a decent striker. I think a front 3 of Suarez, Sturridge and Borini is pretty exciting, esp. now the midfield actually look like they know what they're doing

Rodgers has worked with Borini before, so far seen no improvement.

Rodgers has worked with Allen before, what does he bring that others couldn't do, again see no dif.

i hope you are right about Sturridge dont see it myself, but the issue is they earn so much now days that if they do end up being crap they don't care as they along with MP's live in a frigging little bubble.

like to see these feckers on performance related pay, then some of them might get their finger out their asses and make an effort to earn the measly 70k-100k a week wages they get.

he's worked with Borini too, and he's still ****e. This Chavski reject better not be our only striking purchase in January.

As people have said before... Sturridge will be over-priced, lazy, arrogant and greedy at Liverpool. He reminds me quite a bit of Balotelli in attitude and play, except he doesn't have nearly the amount of quality. I'd much prefer Walcott, because even if he doesn't have the nack of scoring goals, you can be sure he'll put his all into it (especially as he's a Liverpool fan) and played up front he'd score plenty for us.

However, if it was Sturridge or nobody... obviously Sturridge would be better. I just hope he can change his ways and become a team player.

Ince is a good player, and I was disappointed to see him leave, but it looks like piss poor management by us to let him leave and buy him back for 4-6m more than we sold him for. However, what I don't understand is... Why are we buying Ince for 4-6m when Assaidi who is a similar tricky player is sitting in the reserves not getting a game? Is there something we don't know about Assaidi, or is he simply being forgotten?
