OFH - We have 4 games coming up that span 11 days so I suggest a wine tasting exercise to find the new lucky wine. It's a tough one but I'm confident that you are the man for the job!!! Plenty of time theo - judging by the form of the two Bristol teams, the world will only end there, and not until April/May next year. ;)

Saw a cartoon the other day: Mayan bloke carving a stone calendar, says to his mate, 'yeah, I only went as far as 2012.'

Course the world is going to end. If you read the Mayan texts carefully you can see that those who didn't support Man City supported Brighton. The Mayans were well known for being bad losers.

Can someone please explain why on my last day at work at Abbey Wood, Bristol that I am awake at 0430! I have handed over my mantle, have no real reason to go today other than to say goodbye to some people. Nothing to worry about as I am really looking forward to the challenges my new job will bring but that is not until next year!

Morning all, grey and a spot of drizzle in the air, but temperature should rise to 13C later.

Last minute bits and pieces to do before we head north tomorrow and I get to the Vic Saturday for the first time this season. :emoticon-0169-dance

The car is covered in mud that has come out of the fields on the tractor wheels. Is it worth cleaning it I ask myself?

I see Harry Forrester came on as sub in 71st minute and scored for Brentford in FA Cup last night.

Thanks for the caramel latte Ak :)

Right, the weight gain is getting out of hand...all that good work going to waste, so i'm off to spend some time on the treadmill, and then it's time to check out that spinning dvd!

Mrs Sandy got a new fitness DVD a little while back and wanted to see what it involved doing. It was the funniest thing, both me and Mrs Sandy sitting at the table eating our rather large dinners and watching someone else exercising <laugh>. I was worn out by the end of my dinner and barely had the strength to press the eject button :emoticon-0140-rofl:

Cornish Mark you are not on my morning list. I can add you if you tell me your preferred hot drink.

Þorláksmessa on sunday and that is when Christmas starts. Þorlák Þórhallsson was the fifeth bishop of Ísland and is our saint. The one bad thing is the food for this day is cured skate (made like hákarl) with potatoes and brennevín.

Very wet, very grey and not very warm either. Spent the morning writing and now an afternoon wrapping a few presents and watching the old David Lean 'Great Exprectations' we recorded the other night.

Theo you need Bleak Expectations. A novel imagined if Charles Dickens had taken too much gin.
