Backing tracks? In other words, you don't really play, you just mime to someone else playing.
Its people like you that have destroyed live music.

WTF???? I remove the guitar from all of the tracks I play - I cannot play Drums, Keyboard, Guitar and Horns when I play the clubs - But I DO play the guitar and have never mimed so get your facts straight and ask rather than accusing

For the record BC - I much prefer fully live music - it is certainly not me who killed it as clubland music was dying long before I started playing solo 10 years ago - just when I was in a band I am out from 6pm until 2am and make between £30 and £50 - solo I go out - play everything guitar wise live (including a couple of acoustic tracks with no backing) and sing and can easily make over £150 per night

Shouldn't have justified yourself to him mate. So do you ever get across South Tyneside and what sort of music do you play? Any particular artists or bands songs you like to play?

I occasionally get to south tyneside but a lot of the places over there use Unsworth Agency and I don't really get much from them as I fell out with them a few years ago!!

The band I used to be in played The Office and Annie McCarthy's which were both excellent gigs (Bullet) but right now I haven't got much over that way - will keep advsertising on here so keep an eye out mate

Ediot - sorry 83 didn;t answer your question about the type of music - play all sorts as I have to keep the oldies hapy but like doing rock stuff like Zeppelin and things like that - they are the ones that suit my voice best

Great to see another working musician on here, (and myself being a drummer/percussionist, yes I know some peeps may question my being a fellow musician statement lol) it's great to see your busy with gigs, as they are definitely getting harder to get with the current economic situation, with venues closing etc. I'm usually working on the live pub scene with some occasional club work, tbh I prefer the pubs to clubs (cannot stand bingo for one thing) I will try and catch to see one of your gigs sometime.

What's your band's name para? It's great in pubs like as the crowds are mainly youngish so you can get away with my favourite stuff like the rock (Zeppelin, Free, Deep Purple) - Like some pubs but it has to be the right one really otherwise the crowds are a little old for my liking.
