Another good race, full of action and strategy. Its all good <ok>

Good Drives from Vettel, Alonso and Webber. Hamilton was a little unlucky in the pits but it wouldn't have put him 3rd. Button was on the wrong strategy and Rosberg looked helpless most of the time but in the end had a strong race.

Very good race by Alonso. Rosberg got screwed over by DRS countless times in the first half of the race. Button had good pace but was not on the right strategy but did the best that was possible on it. Enjoyed the Mclaren duel as well.

The McLaren dual was very good. Two skilled fair drivers going at it over a number of laps, the sort of racing I'm sure most of us want to see.

WTF is wrong with Mercedes, the only race they have performed was China and I think that was due to low-fuel.
This takes the piss every race weekend.

The Mercedes is terrible on high fuel, and the faster cars had little difficulty in passing him. However, you gotta give Rosberg credit for getting the car into those positions in the first place. He defended well but there wasn't much he could do.

DRS is activated when within 1 second of a car ahead, regardless of which car it is.

The car isn't bad tbh, but the tyre blistering on high fuel levels is what the main cause was, you could see Nico struggling into turn 8 having his back end twitch 3-4 times before drivers overtook him.

It's going into the right direction, Mercedes are slowly getting there and they have yet to bother with any major upgrades, 2 weeks until Spain, this is where they should push for the top 3 car spot against McLaren.

They have been backwards.. now it's time to push forwards learning the lessons of the mistakes all the time.

I believe the challenge here is to get 2nd in constructors for Mercedes this year, considering the field is showing to be tight again just like last except, the Red Bull's engines are not blowing up this time, Adrian has really outdone himself this year. If they can get Nico and Schumi into the top 3-6 drivers of the year I feel it's a succesful improvement compared to last year. Take the stabs in the back with a pinch of salt regarding the likes of Eddie, Brundle and Coulthard, they were constantly having a go at Nico's perfomance during the race, which they found out in the end wasn't his fault, so 50% they just talk bollox.

Only a race ago they were talking about Massa humbling Alonso's lack of pace and look what's happend now Alonso has staked his claim that he's in the fight for the long run and the Ferrari and Mercedes car can only get better in 2 weeks time.

I think McLaren and Ferrari both took significant upgrades to Istanbul but their respective performances in and up to the Chinese GP decided for them whether they used those upgrades this weekend. With the weather on Friday I don't think either team could fully assess the effectiveness of their upgrades. I reckon McLaren thought they weren't so far behind Red Bull in China so could probably risk running the same spec car this weekend. Ferrari were in the doldrums after China and really had nothing to lose.

Didn't Mercedes also have a decent upgrade package for Turkey? Jose mentioned their front wing.

In relation to other leading teams I think both Ferrari and Mercedes could go backwards between Turkey and Spain.

Brawn said there was no major upgrade for this race, only that it was finally working.

Ah right, ok. Are they expecting a big upgrade for Spain?

pffffffffff, guess is as good as mine mate, I would of thought so since they did say at the start of the season that it was to make sure the car balance was near enough what they wanted, until!!!! they thought of adding an sort of major upgrades.

So far it's looking like Spain for some upgrades since the foundation of the car looks pritty much solid now, all they need to do now is get their heads screwed on and just crack on IMO and stop messing around or the WDC will surely vanish before the euopean tour is over.

Speaking of upgrades (and I've probably mentioned this before), Team Lotus have a big update coming for Barcelona, which Kovalainen believes is genuinely worth a second a lap. Judging by the quali margins this weekend, could we finally see one of the new teams qualifying ahead of a more established team on merit?

I doubt many drivers enjoy racing with him on the track either. Clearly past it - so now he's just a spoilt brat race spoiler.
Pack it in now Schuey - enjoy your undeserved millions.

Get out you overrated idiot. The only reason you dont enjoy is because Rosberg is better than you. Leave and let someone more deserving have your seat

Schumacher is the legend. He holds all the important records and although his comeback has failed, he is still the legend and many of the drivers have a lot of respect for him.

At one point Hamilton said that beating Schumacher was nothing special. At first I thought it was just Hamiltons arrogance but to be honest, old rusty Schumacher is nowhere near the level he was in his prime.

People can say what they want about him; No.1 in team, car suited to his style, FIA favouring him, etc. but only a fool would say that Schumacher wasn't a great driver. Unfortunately he looks past it now, which is a shame.

I dont expect to see him on the grid in 2012
