The simple fact of the matter (re. KC empty seats) is that the longer City stay in the top 6 or even the top 2 those empty seats will soon get filled up. It will be interesting to see how many 2nd half season tickets get sold now just so that people can secure there seats for the PL next season. IF City go up and stay up after 2013/14 then it would make sense to build a top tier on the North stand and put the away fans up there. Then the north stand could be a cheap seats stand for all those who want to STAND - SING AND MAKE NOISE. Could even be used (in part) for this safe standing idea as well. imo.
Get a grip man. The Allams have no intension of selling IF we get back to the PL. Far too much cash involved for that idea for starters. The answer to ^^^ this is simple. Vote them out at the next local elections. Correct an d did you notice that he said it AFTER Brady said live on radio that he would put the KC issue to the people of Hull. I bet most Hull folks want the KC sold sooner rather than later. KC apart, the area looks like Beirut. HERE HERE. Totally agree. DONT. Papa Allam knows what he is doing. The council are now backing themselves into the corner with No Way Out. I see a Russell Bartlett / Allam situation developing actually with regards to HCC and Allam. Would you want to work / deal with HCC ? No body with any sense would. No wonder Allams wants to get Hull City out of the kc. Its like being a tennant of a nasty grubby landlord. Yes it would not bother me either. And many folks from that side of Hull would also be happier. But i dont see it happening anytime soon - if ever.!!!!!
Christ he is right you are ******ed. Whilst we where oversubscribed for seats in the prem there is no way we would be able to fill a stadium bigger than 35,000. Do the maths 35,000 - 25,000 = 10,000
I actually agree, this sound like Papa Allam just pushing up the anti with the council, for me to develop the site would benefit the city for the long term, and they should find another location for Hull Fair, as something that only takes up space for one week a year is crazy.
I might bookmark this post for when housing stands where the stadium used to be and no alternative has been built.

I can't be arsed to trawl through this thread but where in Melton would this new stadium be? If it's the site of that was going to be the new training ground( directly off the A63) they'd better get a shift on. Planning permission for a housing estate(500 houses) is being sought. We're going nowhere, Melton is no longer an option that I can see.
Clearly you're ******ed. It's not about the maths. It's about the concept of filling a stadium. You're telling me we couldn't fill that stadium without being in the Permier League? How long have you been a City fan? I've seen that stadium a sell out in Leagues 1 and 2. So clearly the potential is there to fill the stadium without being in the top flight.
I can't see the Stadium being full should it move to Melton anyway. It needs to be within the City really. Where it is at the moment is ideal because the bus station isn't far away at all. IMO, they should just upgrade the KC. The foundations for upgrading are in the East Stand aren't they?
The Allams wont say were they are going to move and if they will, but they're obviously saying that it isn't in their plans for us to be in a 25 thousand seater stadium in the Premier League, you can actually listen to the interview on BBC Sport by the way, I think he's bluffing and he just really wants the KC the council have to sell it to him sooner or later, you don't make millions by not being stubborn and getting your own way. He is right to say that if the stadium was bigger ticket prices could be cheaper, and that he can't continue to keep funding the club from his own bank account it is unfair, he wants us to be in the Premier League, selling more tickets and the club running itself. He will get his own way.
The club doesn't actually lease the ground from the council, it's the SMC who hold the lease, though I've no idea what the arrangement is between the club and the SMC. Making this a rather pointless post.
How is that an example of building a bigger stadium to reduce ticket prices? Perhaps you need to re-reasd the thread. We were NOT talking about lower ticket prices increasing attendances, which of course would work.
Indeed they are. Contrary to popular belief, the stadium build project manager told me face-to-face that the existing foundations would not allow expansion for the north and south stands.
If he is bluffing and deep down does still want to strike a deal with the Council, then spouting off to the contrary, in public, on the day when the Circle celebrates its 10 year anniversary, is in my opinion completely the wrong way of going about things. Whilst being stubborn might be an effective approach in the world of marine engineering, it tends not to be so successful when it comes to delivering new development. The only realistic chance the Allams have got to drive through their vision for the sports village is by doing all they can find a way to work collaboratively with the Council, at both the elected-member and officer level, regardless of what they might think of certain councillors. Adam Pearson excelled in this role in delivering the new stadium in the first place. Without him, I don't think it would have ever got off the ground. Previously, David Lloyd had failed largely because of his grotesque pigheadedness about having everything his own way. On the face of it, the Allams appear to be adopting the same stubborn approach that Lloyd took, which is likely to have the effect of antagonising the Council and further reducing the prospects of ever being able to reach a solution with them.
You know, I really dont think i couldve put it better myself how I feel about this And lets not confuse 2 issues here, I will ALWAYS be grateful to what him and his family have done but this doesnt give him carte blanche to do what he wants how he wants to. All this 'In Papa we trust' thing because he has done some fantastic things previously is a bit blind.
dont know whether this is complete drunk talk, but a bloke came up to my sunday league footy team in pub when we where having a drink after the game. Saying we could use the pitch at the training ground because theyre buying it off the Allams next year, one of the lads said it was one of the Healeys whenever he's in there he always goes on abou the allams to us lol
