perimeter of the pitch = 4

Giving 17 in total

 

Thats what I thought, but seemingly it's 25, as there are 8 lines at the corners, but I thought the lines at the corners were semi-circular, but there you go.

Yes, 25: Centre line, two touchlines, two goallines, six six-yard lines, six penalty area lines and eight corner lines.

In addition, six lines are needed to mark-out the technical areas (if required) and circular or part-circular lines are needed to complete the pitch markings.

I also thought the lines for the technical area lines were broken lines? Anyway, just what are the 8 corner lines actually for, are they 10 yards away from the corner or something?

 

Yes, defenders have to be at least ten yards away when corner kicks are taken.

There's nothing stopping another attacking player being closer if they want to take a short corner.

Oh... and the technical areas can either be marked by solid or broken lines - there's no set regulation governing this.
