Just as the title says really,what do our achievements deserve on the football league show? oh about 30 seconds! Absolutley disgraceful! It is supposed to cover all leagues not just the championship! Makes me sick really.That is all
totaly agree mate. qpr got about half an hours worth,then norwich got a good few minutes and the when it came to our game it was over in a flash. still championship next season, the media might pay us the attention we deserve.
We definately warranted more coverage than that. I bet if we were a small club who had never gone up before they'd have given us a better slot. In the run in, most papers kept talking about Huddersfield (not that I have anything but respect for them) and completely ignoring our terrific form. Do you think Poyet's chip on the shoulder is catching?
I wonder how much clout Claridge has on what is shown, it was minimal, they simply could not have shown less if they tried, SSN were no better.
I'm surpried that after all this time people are still themselves surprised at the FL show. It's great for getting a quick view of all the goals, but you have to sort of accept that it's basically a very poor version of MOTD and really a quick snippet of each match is really all you're going to get. I wasn't surprised at the slightest at only getting 20 seconds, as always. It's just a packaged up version of SSN highlights, rather than a proper highlights and analysis programme. What really does annoy me though is when they announce the outcome of a match just as the highlights are starting. What is the point? Not everyone has seen the score of a particular game beforehand, so don't tell us just as we're about to watch the highlights!! An example could be Derby vs Doncaster, and as the first shot is played aired, Ian Payne (or whichever commentator has added their voice to the highlights) would say "A great win for Derby here..."
We should get more coverage next year and longer bits in the papers. Just by the way...is anyone having trouble with Saints player. It will let me sign in but then only get an error page when I try to open a video.
I think it's the website in general. There's an error with the gallery page right now, and there was an error last night with the write-up of Nigel's thoughts.
Was disappointing. I always sky+ the show and I normally get it to start 40 mins into the show to get the championship out the way. Last night they gave a whole hour to the championship and about 8 minutes for League 1.
Thanks set my mind at rest. At first, it was asking me to sign up, so thinking my contract had run out I signed up again (but cancelled previous subscription...I'm not entirely stupid)...don't reply to last statement
So the evaluation by you guys was that I didnt miss much ....TBH no need to watch it , the memories are still alive and kicking! What a days lads! FYI - Yeserdays pics are on the Saints Website , they looks brilliant!! Especially Cortese one!
annoying that they gave so much attention to the CCC when the outcome was all but decided already. Still, that will be us next season!
Should be better coverage on Late Kick Off. Mind you we're now finding out what it was like when we dominated local sports news when were in the Premiership. We are up. We are up.
Was also annoyed that the voiceover bloke, Nick Halling, is a Saints fan and yet when Chamberlain scored all he said was something about "Chamberlain reminding the big clubs about his talent". Thanks Nick, we'll have that all summer long, why not actually just report that Oxo scored a brilliant goal on a brilliant day for SFC?
