Adam Pearson brokered the deal to buy the club. He remained as a consultant to the Allams. Five weeks of due diligence took place but they did not reveal more than the 600k per month loan payment. Adam Pearson did not know what the financial state of the club was, when he found a group of buyers he sold the club on behalf of Bartlett he struggled to put a deal together. The Allams where the last chance and the council supported their purchase in every way.
I know where and when the sports village concept came up. It was never a plan at purchase for the village. The plan was to build the hotel that Bartlett was desperate to get permission for. He only bought into the club to develop around the KC. His plan was to co-develop with the council. And that's the reason behind the spat with the Allams, they don't want to partner with the council.

It would be sad, I do however understand what he means. The amount of interest we got last time we got promoted(albeit, most was fair weather fans) was unreal. He cannot agree a deal with the Council which means he's left with no choice.

It's a very simple concept...more seats = lower ticket prices.

Really? Because there are nearly 10,000 empty seats at the moment, and I only see price increases...

Same old same old - larger capacity reduced prices - the Emirates anyone? All new grounds post 2000 owned by the Clubs - Etihad anyone.

Ricoh in private ownership hasn't done much for Coventry City to the extent they are posturing (like Allam) about moving to Hinckley or defunct Rushden & Diamonds ground in Irthlingborough.

Very hard line stance in the interview but very muddled thinking and fooking poor timing.

Oh for the old man to step aside and Ehab to take control - would see a very different approach I feel sure.

It won't happen. He's just trying to get one over the twats in the council.

If we do get promotion this year where would we play? The Allams aren't going to build a ground at Melton in 3 months.

Exactly. That's the issue. The higher ticket prices are meaning less bums on seats. That is the exact reason we need a bigger capacity to see lower prices meaning more people coming back to watch the games.

A disused quarry in Melton has been disucssed previously I do believe. That is a question I cannot give a logical answer to. Mr Allam said in his interview with David Burns 'he has plans' as to exactly what them plans are we will have to wait and see.

I recall regular sound bites from the Allams during the purchase negotiations announcing more debts, forcing Bartlett's asking price lower and lower to the point where he was utterly beaten by the clout of the Allams. I also recall that AP was by far the biggest cheerleader for the Allams after they'd taken over and did a great job in the programme outlining why.

(Shame we don't get programme notes any more)

    Are you serious?

We currently have 10,000 empty seats.

In order to solve that - we should spend £100million on a new stadium, in order to get 10,000 extra seats, so that we can lower ticket prices?

Why not just cut out the whole £100million new stadium bit, and lower ticket prices to fill the 10,000 extra seats that we already have? (If indeed filling more seats is the aim).

The fact that people produce videos such as this should tell you something about the strength of feeling some have over this issue.

The lack of information coming out of the Club is the poorest since AP 'bought' the Club in 2001. The lack of programme notes by the Chairman(Owners) just about sums the Allams stewardship up for me.

Why this attack on the Council (again) now?

I am due to renew my season pass under the new direct debit scheme in April and yet here we are in the thick of making a real fist of automatic promotion to the PL as we enter the second half of the season (and witnessing the best Hull City team in my 40 years of supporting the Club) and Allam Snr comes out with this ****e again.

    I despair.

Who said anything about 10,000 extra seats? No one knows the number of seats any new stadium is intended on having. You give a price, how much do you think they should cut the ticket prices to in order to fill the remaning seats within the stadium.

I don't think that prices should be cut - I think that we should charge whatever earns optimal profit for the club.

You (and seemingly the Allams), want more bums on seats. Why not reduce prices at the KC, and fill the 10,000 seats we have empty there? I don't understand the logic of building a new stadium in order to get more supporters in, when we are not at capacity at the moment.
