OT - Luke Campbell skating on thin ice

I had heard rumours about this.

You reckon he can take Macca with him when they go shopping- looked like he was wearing his christmas party elf costume while going round Hull Royal on Look North last night.

 

Think I mentioned this last week.

 

It's a shame that a lot of Olympians seem to be signing up for reality TV crap, what do they want to be remembered for at the end of the day? Luke can make money in other ways I'm sure, even his male modelling is a better pursuit than this garbage TV show. Reality TV should be for the TOWIE ****wits and Katie Prices of this world

He said on Radio the other week he was weighing up his options but this is ridiculous.

 

Thankfully there is Live TV football on better channels to watch,. Utter rubbish D.O.I. is imo. Waste of time.

This kind of telly is a load of rubbish, but in terms of his career, this is the bext move for him. He can't make much money very quickly turning pro, it'd be years before he got a title fight or anything.

He can get far more far quicker doing this. He's getting something like £150k for it I think.

 

As long as he doesn't have a heavy fall and break something, which could have a more detrimental effect on his career

 

But he's not turning pro anyway, so that isn't an issue.

 

Has he quit boxing altogether or staying in the amateur ranks for now?

 

I don't know. I was just told a week ago that he wouldn't be turning pro because he can have a better/more secure career doing Dancing on Ice and other 'celebrity' appearances.

 

Seems a strange decision to me. Who's managing Campbell, Ant & Dec?

 

I suppose in a way he might be better staying amateur and competing in another Olympics maybe. I don't agree with any of these shows, utter ****e but Luke is a good lad and a local hero so the best of luck to him.

I wouldn't say no to Samia Ghardi either; especially when she's lifting her dress up at me like that...

 

Good for Hull - my missus loves the programme - pity he's not a City Lad but will help to keep us in spotlight cum the New Year.

He must also have a good chance of progressing week by week bearing in mind he's a fit athlete competing against old wrinklies such as Cheggers and Anthea Turner...

 

I'm sure there's a picture of him in a City jacket on twitter or the internet somewhere.

 

I went skating once and stubbed the end of the skate and fell over face first and chipped a tooth.

I know he obviously receives the £150k, but doesn't a portion of the revenue from phone votes usually go to charities nominated by the celeb in question as well? I'm sure it did in the early series of these things, just don't know if they carried on.
