You are vocal on here today, and yet only 40 odd posts in over a year. What other user accounts do you usually sign in as?

I'd really love to claim the identity of other posters... but it really is just that I rarely post I'm afraid. Used to post loads on the old 606... lot's of feuds with Sandy Brown. Those were the days...

Is HIAG actually Sandy Brown? Very similar styling of WUMming...

You don't learn HIAG, you don't learn.

If what we've heard is true and Wenger will now spend money there's no chance of you seeing a "Power Shift" anytime soon. Experience/History is on Arsenal/Chelsea's side although Spurs are more than in the mix and have a strong squad.

I said a few months back I didn't think there was much between the 3 London clubs and stand by it, Chelsea have more resources and probably a better XI but with a smaller squad.

It will be a tight finish to the season, let's just enjoy and leave the wind ups till May.

Where would the fun be in that? HIAG, keep doing your brave, bold and at times hasty predications as you're only saying what most people don't have the balls to say, in fear of being ridiculed if they end up with egg on their face!

Just saying that if Arsenal finish above Spurs get ready for the "All Spurs fans are deluded, they said they'd finish above us" "They said there would be a power shift" etc.

People will always take the view of one and generalise. So HIAG is making the banter worse for you come May. If I were you I'd tell AVB to double up on training sessions <whistle>

Here, here! Then we can disown him in May if we finish below them again!

  11. Not long returned from my travels. I see that my thread has sparked some heated and balanced debate, which is to the credit of all of us. No wumming, here, that's for sure.

Gooners will be relieved and happy in equal measure with their result against a very, very poor Reading side, one that is clearly a favourite of relegation. The worrying thing for Gooners, however, has got to be the fact that Reading still managed to put two goals past their defence. I was listening to TalkSport on the car radio tonight, which had the presenters debating whether or not Gooners ought to be worried, and 90% of the Gooners who called the show said they were worried that Arsenal is now headed in the wrong direction under Whinger. Most of them wanted rid of Walnut and to have him placed with a quality striker, like Demba Ba. I confess that I was a little bit embarrassed for Arsenal at the slapping that it was receiving from some of its fans.

Still, as I said in my OP, it's still too early to say how the season will go for AFC. I am certainly not going to be making any rash predictions. The North London Power-Shift could go either way, at the moment.

Whenever HIAG posts one of his 'astute' and 'insightful' predictions, I always remind myself of the eventual outcome . . .<ok>

  16. Okay, I'll admit that, in the past, one or two of my calls were a little off-centre, but the general force of my overall vision remains true: we have steadily improved whereas Arsenal spent several years in stagnation and have since begun to decline at an appalling rate. You only got third last season because (a) Redknapp was a twat, and (b) RVP had the kind of season that is rarely seen in any player. Both of those factors were needed to make you look better than you really were, and it did nothing more than paper over most of the cracks. Any sensible Gooner would admit to that. I don't expect you to, PESKIE.

    Am I rash? Perhaps.

Do I play to the gods of Comedy? Always.

It's all in the name of fun, PESKIE. Do you remember what that feels like? And I'm not talking the kind of fun that comes from four skins.

These things have always gone in phases.

For the first twenty years of my life - Spurs clearly superior to Arsenal.

Then five years when Arsenal were clearly superior. Then nine years with little difference.

Then 15 years when Arsenal were clearly superior and now another seven with little difference.

One of us is quite likely to be a lot better for the next ten or more years - which one is a harder call, but we are getting better and Arsenal are getting worse.

Maybe there will be some justice and when wenger leaves, the arsenal board will look to bruce rioch as he has unfinished business.

One thing that you have not factored in is when and if you build a stadium, it defiantly effected our ability to buy players and we had to sell players to make money at times, in the current economic climate it is probably more difficult to get finance ect, what are spurs fans views on the new stadium and how it might affect your ability to compete?
