Arsenal have won just 2 of the 11 games when Ramsey has started this season. That's under 20% (18.8% to be exact).
Clearly that doesn't take into account which other players were missing, but...that's not a good stat.

    Just realised he's a mod.

Guess you do decide who's 'welcome' and who's not.

Still gotta show people respect though.

Ramsey disrupts the flow of our entire team when he starts. As a team that need to keep the ball like we do, we need all our attacking players to keep ball moving to one another and even if one player is off his game, it can have an effect on the rest of the team. The strange thing about Ramsey is that when he comes off the bench, he does keep the ball better.

The shocking thing about Ramsey is his lack of awareness. He literally has his eyes on the ball. He doesn't know whether someone's on his tail, can't see passes, etc. Can't forget how he hogs the ball.

I'm one of Ramseys only defenders on this forum and even i think he is best used as a sub. I don't think anyone thinks he is one of our better players. But he isn't as bad as people make him out to be. He is a useful squad player and when he was fighting for a spot in the team at the start of the season he did really well when he had chances. With a fully fit squad Ramsey has to fight to make the bench and with Rosicky returning to fitness he will get fewer opportunities which i think will do him good in the long run (he gets most of the stick he does because he was overused in his first proper season in the first team covering the loss of fabregas/wilshere/nasri).

Given time i think he will still become a very good player, but i think at the moment it's best for him to be a back-up trying to fight for a spot.

99% of people know that stats are misleading . . .

Good point though, for everybody who can find a stat to support their argument, there's another one equally as valid to blow it out of the water.

Says it all really. No surprise that we were awesome when Gerv and Ramsey were both benched.

That stat is misleading as he's more likely to be subbed if Arsenal are losing.

    In the PL:
    Sunderland - Draw - Sub
    Stoke - Draw - Sub
    Liverpool - Win - Sub
    Southampton - Win - Sub
Man City - Draw - Start
    Chelsea - Loss - Start - Subbed
West Ham - Win - Start
    Norwich - Loss - Start - Subbed
    QPR - Win - Start
Man Utd - Loss - Start - Subbed
    Fulham - Draw - Sub
    Spurs - Win - Sub
    Villa - Draw - Start
    Everton - Draw - Sub
    Swansea - Loss - Unused
West Brom - Win - Unused
    Reading - Win - Sub

Points when Ramsey has started: 8/21 = 38%
Points when Ramsey has not started: 19/30 = 63%

Arsenal gain 65% more points when Ramsey doesn't start.

I'd agree that at the moment, there are other players that deserve to start ahead of Ramsey.

That is all, I don't buy into the stats as there are too many other factors to consider. We win as a team and we lose as a team. You can't say that we won or lost due to the appearance or not of one particular player.

Wenger also seems to start him in the tough games. He started against Chelsea, Man Utd and Shalke.

Welcome to the world of Cymrag - his reaction to your posts is typical of the mug and further shows that he isn't fit to mod our forum.

You made reference to players being league 2 quality because we lost to Bradford. The reason i mentioned the likes of Seaman,Adams etc is because they were part of a team that lost to a 4th division team(equivelant of league 2) in the FA Cup.

Yea, I figured you'd bring up a match from 20 years ago. What I said though was Ramsey and Gerv made us league 2 quality. That doesn't make everyone in the team league 2 quality. Wouldn't have 20 years back either.

Avoiding all personal gripes, Ramsey shouldn't really be playing for Arsenal at the moment. It's more down to Wenger having limited options on the bench, than him winning a place. If Rosicky and Wilshere were fit from the beginning, Ramsey would have struggled to get on the pitch for 5 minutes this whole season. Add Diaby to the mix, then I really believe Wenger would have loaned him out. Ramsey's time is running out and I can see him going out on loan, for the purpose of selling soon. I hope he gets better, but he really needs to pick it up something quick.

Clearly your memory is as **** as your moderating skills.

Your girlfriend has already threatened to ban me if I continue to question your mod abilities. Would you like to back her up?

Looks like he's signing a new contract so those who still think he'll make it at Arsenal will have a chance to be proved right
