Reading and Villa have got tough games away to City and Chelsea respectively whilst Wigan are playing a fairly resurgent Arsenal side. It would be great if Newcastle v QPR and Liverpool v Fulham ended up drawing. I really think if we can go and beat the Black Cats this Saturday that the platform will be there to get a result at Fulham. Lose this Saturday and we may not react well to added pressure to get a result at Craven Cottage.

Should be a good game with both teams needing the points badly. Obviously not confident although I do feel we have more quality in out first eleven with the like of Sessegnon and Adam Johnson. Can safely say I'm glad Lallana is out as I rate him very highly and would have him in a Sunderland shirt given half the chance. I reckon a 2-2 draw.
With Adam I would have been pretty confident of doing the business.. with him missing i'm thinking loss or draw. I'm scared
As i remember it in that game there was some singing aimed at that the girl running the Itchen line, along the lines of get back in the kitchen etc - it seemed pretty good natured banter to me at the time. You are right of course Jen, it is pathetic but its not nasty pathetic if you get my drift. As more girls do this job then it will become so common that the bloke-ish behaviour will die away - its not many years since football crowds were predominately male and old habits die hard i suppose. We never used to have female deck & engineer officers in the merchant navy but now it is quite common and a lot of what would have been termed sexist behaviour towards them has stopped. Its just a case of evolution over time i guess.
Saints are not a one man team, even though Lallana is an important player i feel that the team Nigel puts out will be strong enough to get a good result v Sunderland, providing they all play well. Should be another good game i reckon.
That kind of casual "acceptable" discrimination is more harmful than any "serious" sexism. And worst of all, you give dman a hard-on when you say stuff like that. Anyway, anyone got something to say about the match?
Previous offensive comment deleted, if you would like to argue further then please feel free to use PM's so that everyone else can discuss Saturday's game. Thanks.
You come the high & mighty about all matters social, and then you come out with foul mouthed comment like this. Dont know who you are boyo but the human at that keyboard is one sad sod. Say something about the game - do you ever actually go to Saint's games, or are you some jerk you gets all his kicks from talking hypothetical rubbish on a website ?
Back to the game and I'm still confident. Nothing against Sunderland but I think they are there for the taking!
Every good team needs at least one player who is more than just functional and Lallana is one of them, but step up to the plate Gaston Ramirez.
