He's just ranting at Hull City Council, because they refuse to flog him the stadium and the land around it, we're not going anywhere.
Didn't say that, did I? Just saying it's easier to exell in it and, going back to the original point, it shows that you did get a tad lucky (in some respects) because he might have flopped like many other have when they've stepped up a league.
Your point? Plenty of players have come from the SPL and made it in English football. Jelavic, Arteta, Adam, Weir, Niemi, Petrov, Cuellar, Fletcher, Naismith etc.
Well the 'lots' of Hull fans who flooded our board didn't have a bad word to say about a bloke they'd never seen before. The play-offs are a lottery and the top 2 are there for the taking. Surely you're licking your lips as much as we are at that opportunity? True there is always the play-offs, but a club in your position should be looking further than that.
It's obviously easier for a player to look a class apart if he's playing in a league that's beneath him, but when that player has just scored 12 goals in 23 games and was on trial at Juventus before he signed for Rangers, it really wasn't that much of a punt. Neither was the equally good signing of Quinn from League One(the same applies to Marshall for you).
What you did say is that you doubt Bruce's nous in the transfer market, yet now he was lucky in getting a player from the SPL that did well? Is it possible he knew he was signing a player that would do well through knowing him as a youngster and scouting him since? Like a proper manager, you know they don't just pick names out of a hat and hope they 'get lucky' don't you?
What about the plenty that flopped? I appreciate that there have been success stories but those stories are outweighed by some of the ****e that's come out of that countries best leagu. Shouldn't be that difficult to grasp We got relegated with a side pretty much out of the SPL.
I'm not talking about that, more of the millions he's spent on ****e previously. Every manager is bound to sign someone quite good. But his record is hardly worth writing home about. Everyone knew Aluko would be alright here on a free. He probably just went to the side that offered him the biggest wage and fair play to him.
I've said he was a good signing and that I would have had him. Just pointing out that he could easily have flopped (as many others have) and as you have relied on his goals, you might not be so well off. End.
We could hardly have a bad word to say about a player we had never seen before could we? I do recall that I was one of the posters on the thread at the time. I think my view was that he had a good goal scoring record for his then club, and he had (limited) European experience, and Bruce had been aware of him when he was with the Mackems. I also said that, like any signing, it may be a bit of a gamble, much like Vardy was for you. I also questioned your signing of Futacs and all but 1 of your posters defended signing him. I think that the club and supporters are wanting to get top 2 - I'm sure any club in the top 8 will be the same?
Why would we have a bad word to say about someone we've never seen before? Would be pretty ****ty of us if we did. Yes we're licking our lips at te possibility of auomatic, we're looking for a striker to get us just that. What I said was IF we don't sign anyone, I still expect play-offs on the strength of our current squad. But given we almost certainly will sign a striker, I'll wait to see who it is before making a prediction.
What I mean is everything was about how good this guy was going to be, nothing about how it's a massive risk.
Ahh you meant that? Funny because you didn't say that... Me thinks you're changing your story to sound less ******ed. If so, you failed
The main reason we clamp down on your with Prossie is because when people like Jermaine Beckford and Matt Mills failed with us you lot was all over it So we are just returning the favour You made your bed, lie in it
