I decided to avoid pointing that out, given it was the most accurate thing he's ever posted about us For most people you may have a point but in hull we harp on and rate him because we got promoted thanks to him. Whether or not we over-rate him can only be found out by his form if he re-joins. It'd be shameful of us not to harp on given what we achieved when he was here.

By hull fans I can only assume you mean charlie who must be the only one that could possibly think that, regardless I'm not here to justify incorrect claims of hull fans that aren't me. Anyway, I'd guess we signed Prozzie (and Aluko) to sort the lack of goals, he hasn't worked out upto now and rather than have blind faith that he'll come good given there's been few signs he will, Brucey wants to sign another option. Did that really need explaining or were you hoping I'd post something you could rip into?

Fair play with the Aluko signing, he was someone i'd have taken (and the rest of the league) in a heartbeat, but he's hardly someone who's going to be the leagus top scorer (or something in that category) is he? You must have known there would be lack of goals, hense why you tried bigging up your signings and it's why you're not 3rd but in fact 4th. Your goal difference is quite poor for someone so high up. Goals will cost you, it's do or die for Brucey in Jan and I don't think he has the 'transfer window nous' to do it. Palace are above you and they're scoring for fun. It looks like you were going to heavily rely on Fryatt again this season only for him to have got injured. With Aluko scoring more then his fair share he has really got you out of jail
The phrase 'got you out of jail' makes it sound as if we've been lucky. We signed a winger who had a better than 1 in 2 record at his last club and played him up top and shock horror ... he's scoring goals. It'd be like me saying Nugent's really got you out of jail this season, if it wasn't for him you'd be midtable.
You could be right there. It is possible that Proschwitz was going to be used as the big man alongside Fryatt and the injury scuppered that. You guys always said that Fryatt plays better alongside a big man? For whatever reason though, Proschwitz isn't getting the amount of time on the pitch that many fans think he should. That said though, our goal difference is only 3 less than Boro in 3rd
There's no doubt that the original plan was to have Proschwitz and Fryatt as our first choice pairing, but it wasn't to be, these things happen. We're hardly suffering as a consequence. And Fryatt will be replaced in January(almost certainly with a Premier League loan, as our owner seems obsessed with getting a Premier League striker).
The SPL is hardly a good league though. Fryatt, Beckford and Macail-Smith (although to be fair, CMS is scoring this year) have scored goals at around that level (id say that the SPL and League one are on par) but look at them at this.
I don't expect you to take note of individuals but likewise I don't expect you to make a sweeping statement as if lots of hull fans said it which isn't true. Aluko creates goals as well as scoring them and they all count whether it's him putting it in or not, but you're right we need more (which we know). I wouldn't say it's do or die for Bruce at all, we're 4th at this stage despite having nobody reach 10 goals and we've won our last 3 games despite not having Aluko (our best player and the league's most recent player of the month) i'd say January will decide whether we've got a chance at autos or not, but assuming we don't have more bad luck with injuries I expect to make playoffs with our current squad. Your opinion about Bruce's transfer nous is perfectly valid, but I'm reminded of a great quote I read ages ago. Opinions are like nipples, everybody has one.
