"Does his British passport make him immune from criticism?" Seeing as he's one of the most slated players on here, I'd say no.

The Bradford game showed just how terrible some of our players are at the moment. Gervinho and Ramsey made us league 2 quality. Podolski was invisible against opposition that he should be running rings around. Our front 3 were useless... it took Vermaelen to score against a league 2 side.

Ramsey comes in for plenty of stick. I'd suggest reading the posts/topics a bit before judging opinion here.

I was so happy when Denilson left, sadly we got a Welsh version of him, only he's actually been worse than Denilson, if that was ever possible.

Silly article considering Ramsey is probably the player that gets most abuse from fans (well its him or gervinho). Particularly on this board. In fact you'd be hard pressed to read more than 2 random articles from the first page of threads and not find a load of stick aiamed at Ramsey.

Personally i'm one of the few people that defends him. I think his flaws are there for all to see so i won't go into them, but i think considering he came into the first team and was given the burden of being the creative force for Arsenal in place of Fabregas/Nasri/Wilshere whilst returning from injury, he has done well. His form dropped off towards the end of the season but people forget he did a really good job of filling a midfield spot for us. He then had a good olympics and started the season well for us. He was being used as a sub only to start with and was comming on and looking really good (then he did really well even on the wing at City!). Unfortunately he has then played rubbish in the couple of starts he has had recently! I'm not going to pretend like he is fantastic, as he has been crap in his last few performances. But overall i don't think he has been nearly bad enough to deserve the vast amounts of critisism that are aimed his way and i'm happy with him as a squad player.

If you want to get on a young players back and give them abuse for not living up to the hype aim it towards oxocube who has been total **** this season.

As for Ramsey being a worse version of Denilson. What utter nonsense. Denilson constantly passed backwards or sideways - he never attempted anything risky or tryed to push forwards. Ramsey always pushes forwards, constantly tries risky little tricks and turns and goes for the hollywood ball.

I don't think you could have picked two players with a more different style of play....

In the many years i've been an Arsenal fan there have always been players that get criticised all the time and there have always been players that can do no wrong.

Other than this being an already exhaustively debated subject, I don't see why people have objected so strongly to the OP. Many of us agree with him and also a healthy number disagree, but it worries me that people get attacked just for posting, that is not the spirit of these debating boards. I would liek to think that we could see this more as a chat down the pub or over a meal than yet another platform for trading insults at complete strangers.

Evan though I have strong views on Ramsey, Gervinho, Wenger, etc there are times when I read the posts of other and pause to reassess my views.

Anyway onto the OP, the only I would add to the OP's observations is that Ramsey also has the propensity to pass to the player most under pressure. He is not a player well suited to a team trying to play quick, slick passing football. The only thing I might say in his favour is that Ryan Giggs have 2 or 3 poor seasons in which he has seen as low quality, but that was when we he has in his mid-20s, so has already had 3-4 fantastic years.

As regards his passport, I think there has been agreement before on this board that British players get less stick for poor performances than foreigners, and that British players get overly generous praise in teams doing well. Take Rooney at United, Gerrard at Liverpool. If we're honest, if all the players in the premier leageu were English, how many of the current England squad would still get selected?

Different styles of play they have, but doesn't mean Ramsey's better because he plays different, lol. He's still as bad, and even worse than Denilson, with his own style of play.

Two boxers can have different fighting styles, but both can still be equally ****.

Ramsey goes for the Hollywood ball? LOL. The bull **** some people will write, yeah sure, you keep living in that alternate reality where you see Ramsey going for that 'hollywood' ball, and I'll stay in reality.

I didn't say he makes the hollywood passes... but he goes for really difficult passes... most of the time the ball goes out of play!

    It's funny really.

All these idiots popping up with insults cause some people don't agree with them. Continue living in your little bubble where Ramsey's the Ronaldinho of his universe.

He gets criticised plenty on this forum, so wouldn't say he was immune. I think most of us had sympathy for him after his horrific injury, so have given him plenty of leeway. As for his selection, go ask Wenger and the board why this is happening. It's more down to our average available bench than anything else. Now with Rosicky back, i really can't see him factor much. Add Diaby (if he ever comes back), Ramsey will be history.

To solve this situation, i would loan him out for the second half of the season. We will see how he performs when the pressure is off him. Then we can assess if he is truly Arsenal standard.

What does the reason I'm posting here matter?

Whether or not I'm 'welcome' here is besides the point. And frankly you don't decide that.

I have my take on things, and I'll express it how I see fit. In any matter I see fit.

If you want to discuss football like an adult, maybe you should show respect first.
