( to the tune: The First Noel) It´s gone so well, I think you could say Since Hughton and company passed by our way, In Brum where they lay a-biding their time None of them could have foreseen such a stunning climb. So well, so well, so well, so well They have all done during this six month spell They looked here and saw not just one shining star But a team in the East determined to go far, And to this day they have given their all Cajoling and prompting those lads with the ball. So well, so well, so well, so well They have all done during this six month spell And others have seen just how well it has gone And from countries both near and far have joined the throng, To seek and find joy was their intent And I´m sure they are happy ´twas here that they went. So well, so well, so well, so well They have all done during this six month spell And then there are those who are wondering why In the past that they let our Chris Hughton fly, And well they could ask for on his current form It´s not that surprising that his stock is warm. So well, so well, so well, so well They have all done during this six month spell So let us all with one accord Sing praises to the Carrow Road board, They made a choice and quickly too Which has proven to be the best through and through. So well, so well, so well, so well They have all done during this six month spell. OTBC
RBF. I don't mind playing carols, but I really do hate singing them, and you have have made me sing along with every veerse you have written. What are you doing to me Sir? Great lyrics though Merry Christmas to you and yours young Sir
Hi RBF, have you, like me, now got an image in your mind of Maestro doing hand-signals? He's right though, you have an amazing talent, another one that has me humming along!
RBF - your last verse sums up my feelings totally. There is a common desire at CR from the board, the manager, the players and of course THE FANS. We all want the same - ie success for our beloved Canaries and long may it last. Who would have thought in early October that we'd go on a 10 match unbeaten run in the league and be sitting 8th in the EPL. I certainly wouldn't have risked even £5 at the bookies on that one!!!! I'm sure had we not had a change of manager, we wouldn't be in such a lofty position. OK, we'd probably have scored more goals, but our goal difference would have been worse too!!
Strangely enough I never used to enjoy playing them but I do enjoy singing (or sining) them, now I wonder what that signifies Merry Christmas
JR , we can never know of course, but I can´t imagine that Lambert would have done any better these last 6 months than we´ve seen with Hughton, anyway as they say, ´a change is as good as a rest´.
Brilliant RBF sums up the way we all feel Mr H has done an excellent job, sure we will get a lean spell at some point but with the haul in the bag we are doing much better than I had hoped and am sure he who should not be named would have not done any better this term.
