It's not pointless to us, I've quite enjoyed this thread too actually. I'll tell you what though mate, it's all about expectation. Why isn't Waghorns goals to games ratio a big deal? Because we didn't come on your board pre-season telling you he was going to score goals. Now I know you are going back on your words by claiming you were saying "if" and "maybe", and it was probably only a select few of you who told us how well Prossie was going to fare, but it did take up a lot of our threads at the time, hence why we remember it so well. With the comments you made, you were just setting yourselves up for a fall. And apologies for using "you" as our term for all Hull fans, I can't remember exactly who posted what, you just all get lumped together
No problem mate, I'm not trying to defend those of us who did really blow the Proschwitz signing way out of proportion as they clearly judged him on his transfer fee alone. I do remember quite a few of us also attempting to bring those selected few back down to Earth but 'those who speak loudest get heard' and all that. Glad somebody finally sees sense...! We both took a bite. There's no denying that.
You want to ask yourselves the question, why haven't we started a "Has Mark Cullen scored for Hull yet!?" thread too? Because we don't know who he is, and haven't been told over and over again that he is going to score goals this season. (I only know who this guy is because I just had to google your squad and found the first strikers name I didn't recognise.)
Because that has a simple answer; he's ****. He might score more if he stayed onside. We've tried loaning him out to Lower League Clubs and he still can't hit the net. He came up through our Academy. Unfortunately, it hasn't worked for him.
Not a bad summing up there. We just need a bit more firepower (I'm still hoping Proschwitz will get the chance do the business), looks like a decent Prem striker will come in January. I'm confident on the bet too although it might be one of those 50/50 ones ( although in my heart I think we'll win the league .....âI can cope with the despair but it's the hope that kills meâ)
Look, I thought Proschwitz would play every match and score more goals then what he has done! He hasn't! I was wrong! However, he still has plenty of time to adapt to this league and consequently, do well and score more goals in this league!
.. the former a 1990s group who can still be seen singing on an inferiror version of the old Band Aid classic ... the latter, the arbiter of sense and reason floating on an alcohol fuelled sea of tranquility that is the festive season ... let them know it's christmas time ..
Wahey, we're finally getting somewhere. So why is there a thread for Prossie, but not for Cullen? Because you didn't come on our board telling us how good Cullen was going to be this season. If you hadn't mentioned Prossie on our board, we probably wouldn't know who he was either, but you did, so you have to suffer the consequences I'm afraid
OLM himself personally offered 10K to any fan who wanted to bet between who would score more goals between Prossie and Jamie Vardy Prossie has 2 and Vardy has 5 at the minute
Pity you were all too chicken to take it, or you'd be looking nailed on for a big pay day. And I'd be round at Brucey's, trying to convince him to get the bastard on the pitch.
To be fair, Hull fans didn't come on here posting articles about signing Proschwitz, we just posted on threads you lot started about us blowing £2.6m on some unheard of second division German. He's not **** by the way, we've had some real **** over the years and he's not one of them, he's better than Mclean and should be getting more game time than he is.
Its good to see Steve Bruce has learnt his lesson http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepag...fer-Hull-plot-7m-move-for-Sunderland-ace.html 7M he will spend more time with the physio
