Wondolowski looks like a very good striker. The videos look good but it's not the amount of goals he has scored, it's how he put them in. He looks like a real fox in the box and with the amount of crosses we put in, it'd be great to see an instinctive finisher on the end of it. It'd also be good to know that if we ever get a penalty (Forest aside), he can stick it in. I'd say get him in pronto!

So he makes 300,000 dollars a year right now, converted that is 3,562 pounds a week. The net seems to give him a transfer value of 1.8 million pounds (who knows if that is accurate at all). Clearly his salary would not be a problem for us, whether we want to bid almost 2 million pounds for an mls striker is another issue.

Jordan Bowery from Villa, strong hold up striker who is decent in the air and has a bit of pace, but personally we should give Prosi a decent run

£7 you have to be joking! He hasnt played many games over the last 2 years and when he has played his form has been poor.

I thought it was a ridiculous price tag back when we tried to sign him permanently in 08, nevermind now. <laugh>

I still think we'll sign someone that hasn't been mentioned... No idea who, but I think Brucey will shock us.

Apparently Brighton are preparing a £4m bid for Charlie Austin from Burnley.

I'm sure the £7m figure is complete bobbins but ask yourself this; which would you rather have Austin for £4m or Campbell for £7m?

I know what my answer would be!

£7m for player who's barely played for two years and is in the last six months of his contract?

    Hardly.

This. I mentioned before that we should test the water. Brighton are lower in the league than us and hell, they aren't as good. If we can get Oli and a couple others off the wage bill we could get him in a lot easier than most people think. If he turns us down for a PL club then fair play, but we should at least try; he showed some interest when we were interested before.

Austin will be on everyones chistmas list, if we get something from friday and do Leicester and Leeds, that will make a big difference in getting a striker.

Really ? I heard he'd been outstanding when he returned from his injury last season.

I hope we'll at least test the waters on players like Austin and even Hooper. Not saying we'll get them or even be able to afford them but it's worth a shot.

No lower league strikers, not this season, too much of a gamble.

This would be my list of targets (im not saying we have a chance at getting them though.)

    Hooper
    Austin
    Graham
    Jerome
    Morrison
    S. Davies
    C. Davies
    Campbell
    Wickham

    Probably in that order too?

Nobody could possibly be the next McLean surely? I think he would do well for a decent side, easy to forget he is playing for Barnsley. Who are ****e.
