I have no link, but I remember in Japan Qualy 2010 Ted Kravitz saying that in Hungary and a couple of other races that year that Jenson said the should have gone with the Primes instead. You may think low of me but saying that Hamilton always trys to imply that it was the teams fault is not right.
I am not saying he always does it every chance he can, just that he does do it sometimes and it annoys me, that is all, nothing malicious of anything. I am sure Button just said that he probably should of gone with the primes in hindsight, not that it was the teams fault he did not.
Two things, Nico for the win... Michael for a kick arse start and some snappy overtakes, Mercedes have shown they are on a par if not quicker than Mclaren, they just need to make the most out of it tomorrow.
Lol the media might say Lewis is hunting down Vettel, but it's looking more like Nico will hunt down Lewis this year. Keep pushing Mercedes, you'll get there.
Lewis IMHO is better than Nico and Sebastian. Cars these days make a big difference. I am sure that he will be on the poduim tommoroow though.
I'm not sure, look at the advanatage Lewis had for saving a set of options for race day and it worked for him, eveyone in the top 4 apart from Lewis have a spare set. I think Nico will get infront of Webber and it will stay like that, Lewis and the rest will just fade out because of tyre management. Also regarding Nico, I agree he's slightly off the Lewis', Alonso's, and the best of the rest vettel, but he is massively underrated compared to them, and that he has just needed more time to settle in F1.
The Mclaren drivers are certainly at a disadvantage (how much is will be seen tomorrow) because they have used up an extra set of tyres while their competitors Red Bull, Mercedes, and Ferrari have all saved a set of tyres, I think the only real chance for Mclaren is rain tomorrow although that does not seem probable. I am not even going to try and call the result because following the pattern this season it has been completly unpredictable. I hope Rosberg, Button and Alonso do well, I like Webber but I do not dislike Vettel, however I hope Webber beats Vettel to make the championship more exciting.
Have they said how many laps on an option tyre while running at quali pace would effect the number of laps using it on race pace? Something like 1 lap of qualifying pace = 3-5 race pace laps.
Because of his aggressive driving style, but your right, it doesn't show he shreds his tyres as a cause.
Completely agree. Vettel needs his lead reduced iand if Newey extends his advantage, only Webber can stop that annoying finger.
Ideal scenario for Vettel, his two closest title challengers start fourth and six. It's strange that two teams improving their cars (Ferrari and Mercedes) can actually make the championship less competitive. Predicting Vettel, Webber, Hamilton tomorrow.
TV fixed to bbc 1. check Still in PJs (yeah I wear PJs, what of it) and slippers on, check No GF about to bug me, check. Lets hope for a good race
I think Button telegraphed his intention to three-stop with his first stop, and McLaren confirmed on the radio. Hamilton switching to "plan B" indicates that "plan A" was to three-stop. Fascinating overtaking manoeuvre - Button on Rosberg.
