Small victories - off the bottom now - we have been there for weeks now so its small improvements and a big psychological thing.
Agree with that and I'm gonna win a tenner better off with a bet that we wouldn't be bottom at Christmas, Reading away at city, maybe I'll offer double or quits out of the bottom 3 by new year
Appreciate the psychological thing, but there's no dodging the points target, that's the only game that matters!
Well if Reading and us happen to finish 17th/18th with the same number of points, we need the better GD.
Personally i think this result is huge for us. It just re-affirms in the players mind that what they're doing is right. Work harder -> Perform Better -> Improve results -> climb table. They can see that what Arry' is telling them to do is reaping rewards, so they'll be inclined to keep doing it. Earlier on 5live Clint Hill mentioned how much of a confidence lift it's been rising from the bottom of the table too, so it was crucial Reading lost today in order for that confidence to keep snowballing. I know we need X number of points to stay up, but we're more likely to get a decent points tally from our next few games if the players are feeling good about themselves.
Good post, and I feel better having read that; it's great to see how instantly Redknapp has affected the morale of the team. Still s lot of heavy lifting to do but it's going on the right direction. ^^^
