Everyone's talking about how we need to bring in an experienced striker in January to get us the goals we need, someone like Jason Roberts with Reading last season. But who is there available? Fraizer Campbell has been suggested but he's reportedly said he's not interested in dropping down, so who else could we bring in?
Personally I think we will struggle to get a striker in. Any that are with Prem clubs will most probably stay there. If I was going for anyone I would look at Henderson at Millwall. Not prolific, but gets on the end of crosses and can lay the ball off and hold it up. Millwall are going well soo I dont think that they would choose to let him come to us. Are there any up and coming lads in the lower leagues who could do the job, not sure to be honest.
I would also like to add that a big man would have got on to the end of those crosses on Sat. Look what our German lad did against Ipswich, 2 crosses two goals. I cant understand what is going on there. He keeps making the bench and we dont use him. How the hells he ever going to, prove himself, nott in the reserves thats for sure.
Kenwyne Jones. Cameron Jerome. Danny Graham. Championship strikers - King Chopra Beckford - forget all the ****e he scores if you give him the chance.
Simeon jackson/Steve morison (Norwich will probably let one of them go) Cameron Jerome Victor Anichibee Danny Graham (Can't seem to get a game) Chris Wood These are just ones of the top of my head that could probably do a job for us
enjoy speculation but who knows who's going where in terms of prem strikers. i think Danny Graham, Jamie Mackie or Steve Morison would be decent shouts. hope DQPR win another match so the board have a bit of faith in Harry and give him a chunk to spend (Anelka mentioned on SkySports dot com) and it's a shame Andy Johnson and Bobby Zamora are injured cause i'd love Mackie to be with us.
Emile Heskey (Newcastle Jets-OZ have a winding up order issued). Maybe he can leave his wife over there until June ? Chris Wood without a doubt is the No.1 choice IMO. Tom Pope (left field and very raw) Port Vale striker but knows where the net is. Anyone else would either cost too much or be seen as an act of desperation imo. Better deals to be ahd in the summer. ++++++++++ O/T. National media rpeorts have Norwich manager Chris Hughton making a double swoop on Brighton pair CMS and Liam Bridcott.
I think bruce will be smart and try to get someone who's not only good for a promotion push, but someone who can do a job in the prem too.. it would be an expensive option but maybe austin from burnley ?
Danny Graham would be great, Simeon Jackson from Norwich. There might be a chance Tottenham will recall that Harry Kane from Norwich and re-loan him to a Championship side, as he's only made 1 sub appearance. I'm struggling to think of names but I'm sure there's a few more out there.
It makes a huge amount of difference getting players when you're top of the table. Wish we could be top throughout the January window.
