Very sad OFH - but there is the still the open question in my mind as to whether he wanted to leave or Baz needed to sell him?

According to his agent he was quite happy to stay, so I suspect that Baz needed some cash. Not sure if it was him or the club that needed it, or was it the same thing in his mind?

It may have been the same thing in his mind, but not in his deeds!

    <laugh> you'll have to help!

Sad yes, surprising? Not so much. Sordell was overrated with us. His shooting was often inaccurate and he was lazy. I was happy to sell, it's sad he's not getting any games, but i don't blame their manager one bit. If he goes to Cardiff, i suspect he won't get any game time there either but it'd be interesting to see. One thing is for sure, i hope we don't get him back!

Afternoon all, very tired after a busy weekend of visiting friends and family. Shame about the result on Saturday but hopefully the boys can learn from the poorer displays they give and come back stronger next match.

Right all you locals, an ex-pat needs help

I have my tickets for next Saturday, but I also have to be near Aylesbury for 7.00pm. I suspect that my usual parking spot in the Church car park could be difficult to get out of. The last time I used that it took 45 minutes to leave it, and that was not the Saturday before Christmas. I can walk some distance now, but not at speed walking pace. What I need to know is where would you park? Has anyone ever tried the girls school? It is close, but how quickly can you get away and what time does it open.

I believe the quickest way out on that side of town would be if you park on the Cassiobury estate and don't hang about at the end of the game - but when we left there 3 years ago there was talk of residents only - don't know if that ever happened

A bit further down from Girls Grammar is the Fisher Industrial Estate - guessing that is still a fiver, or Watford Fields School! A bit of a walk though. The Fisher Estate is a pain to get out of after games too though. If you don't mind a futher 10 minute walk, you always have free parking on Blackwell Drive/Woodwaye - and getting out onto Eastbury Road shouldn't be too much of a problem...

OFH, maybe a bit too far but I always park between the Collosium and the College (£5) and then walk down the High St stopping at the Moon/Water for a pint of course. Leaving is ok once you get off the roundabout and then the M25 beckons.

lol...it's a bit bonkers isn't it! I think it mainly comes from rep, which i seem to pick up with frequent regularity...can't imagine how else it would be so high, i don't post nearly as much as i used to...so i don't think it can be that...

I used to park in Cassiobury a lot, but when the M1 road works were stuffing up J10 to J6 I took to coming south down the A41 from Aylesbury, heading anti-clockwise on the M25 to Ricky, through Ricky and Batchworth, up to Moor Park and across to S Oxhey, then down Sandy Lane. I parked on Eastbury Road near Blackwell Drive, or further along by Oxhey Park.
It is a bit of a walk, but no further than from Cassiobury. It 's very much 'sneaking up from behind' as seen from points north, probably furthe to drive, but I never encountered queues.
Edit: bear in mind this info is 3 years out of date!

Afternoon all, crikey it's dark already! Just been to see the Hobbit. Enjoyed it more than I expected to. It doesn't mess with the book too much. I frightened myself with the realisation that I read the book over 45 years ago. Not that long after I started watching the Golden Boys, now I come to think of it.
