As you all seem to keep saying. Hasn't happened yet though. I thought you were gonna draw level with us during our tough run and your easy run? Well our tough run is almost over and we're still a very healthy 8 points clear of you and your January/February looks very tough compared to ours. Looks like you all need to wish a little harder!
With the amount of time you spend on our board you're going to have to admit one day that secretly you're a Saints supporter... Vin
Well that worked well enough. In a big paragraph, that line was especially put in to hook you alone, Trixter. Not even my co-Valentino Rossi admiring friend, Cockney Eyetie, jumped into that trap. Well done. You're taking it as seriously as we all are.
Hey Lambo, I bet you can feel that 30 quid slipping further and further away eh? At least it's for a good cause mate. By the way, what are you gonna change your name to when Lambert joins us in the Summer?
They have some very inconsistent players. Bannan has been terrible this season, and they have no left back. Erick Lichaj is the worst player ever to play in the premier league, they have had to switch to 3-5-2 in a few games just so he doesn't play. They lack a cutting edge and if benteke gets injured they have nothing else. They have some OK young players, who will occasionally perform, but don't mistake them for being a good side. They deserved to get hammered at Liverpool yesterday, and it was "one of those games." I think they may stay up, but I also think that we will finish above them. If I'm honest, I wouldn't swap any saints players for any of theirs, except Vlaar and Guzan. They are both sheer class. To be honest, it's kind of a lottery between us and villa, we're similar in a lot of ways. We are both young, inconsistent sides, and although it seems weird because they are an established premier league side, they are also on a steep learning curve. It will be interesting to see how it pans out.
Not that it will ever happen but as I share my surname with the great man I don't need to worry! Of course if Adam went I'd be in trouble. See I'm safe for years yet! Can't say that about your money!
Yes, O'Neill would not have had anything to do with the high wages. His job is to identify signings, and the rest is between agents and the club. As well as that, plenty of the players on high wages would have been there before O'Neill got there anyway.
Cieran Clark looks pretty decent too. Young squad though, like ours, so will probably be inconsistent all season. Were woeful at St Mary's.
