Glad you are feeling good GG. Do you manage to get to play with the band now?

Thanks OFH. Well, I'm not playing gigs all over the place with the ceilidh bands like I used to. A combination of the travelling, very late nights or staying away from home, difficulties with getting on and off stages, not being able to set up my own gear etc just mean it's not on. What I am doing for the first time in my life is playing guitar LOUD in a local rock band doing covers. Loving it! Rehearsals just down the road, only half a dozen or so gigs a year and all in local pubs and clubs. Playing in a wheelchair isn't excatly rock and roll but hey, at least I'm still able to do it!

Very envious as I love playing loudly, but last time I did with a band was told to quieten down a bit. :(

Having had six weeks with a wheelchair earlier I know the problems. My local bank has a lift to get from pavement level to the banking floor, but it has a slope outside that requires arms of steel to get you to the lift. Crutches took less effort. ;)

I'm sure it will come via Santa's Christmas delivery to your winter wonderland. I'm not holding too much hope mine will get to the sodden wastes of Hampshire this side of a bottle of cava and some cold turkey...

    remembered this

Loads of secure parking around the ground for £5,very little off street parking.Easiest place for away fans is a large car park behind ASDA on Alan Turing Way

Might go to ASDA just to add to my grand day out.. Let me know what the club say pse.

Just had a word with my boss. He has mentioned Asda, and also some parking just of Ashton Old Road (The A635). There is one road just off here called Kay Street where he often parks, which is just road parking, but free, but suggests you should get there by 1ish. Otherwise in this area, Wolveton Street, there are £5 car parking sites - there are stewards in this area who will direct you!

I'm heading up on one of the official coaches, so will have to drive to Watford to the pick up point. Does anyone know if they have specific parking for people doing this or if not any suggestions on parking close by. The pick up point is Greenhill Crescent, looks like an industrial estate from the google map image.

there's loads of parking at Greenhill Crescent...it's at the Croxley business park and there is a car park where the coaches wait, and also on street parking :)
