Looking at the fixtures we've got coming up (Derby, Leicester, Leeds, Blackpool, Sheff W, Peterborough, Derby) I think there is a good chance that we can go unbeaten throughout I know that we will probably lose at least 1 or 2 of them but I think over the next month and a half we will see a considerable rise up the table into the top 2!
The next 4 games are tricky, but we are capable of winning all of them. If we're in the top 3 and have an extra 7-9 points by the 2nd January, i'll be well happy. 12 will be fantastic. Also means i won't be too unhappy to see City go out early in the FA Cup. A promotion challenge is a bigger accomplishment than a cup run, at least this season anyway.
I think 12 is highly unlikely, although we are capable of beating anyone right now. We should be looking to get at least 7 if we area seriously going to challenge after christmas. We could win or lose all 7.
I don't know. Judging by the reaction when Doncaster put us out of the LC the pitchforks are probably already being sharpened for the Bruces.
Derby is probably going to be the toughest game given the form they are on, Leicester I expect us to beat and I'd take a point (as always) against Leeds.
If we can win some games we will have more points. If we win more games than teams around us we will stay in the top 6, maybe even get into the top 1. Fingers crossed we play football most weeks with 11 players cause this would give us a chance of a result. I honestly think we will finish somewhere in the Championship table by the end of this season. Forget it all, enjoy the football and see where we are come April next year.
We're currently averaging 1.86 points per game. So on that basis we need 13 pointd from 7 games to tread water. 14+ would cement us top 6 in my opinion.
I really hope we do good in the december to january period. I am going no where this year so if we dont do well I am going to end up being pissed off and drunk all by myself.
TWS play weds 19th against Chelsea in the Coc, then a home game with Middlesboro on saturday and away on boxing day @ Burnley before they come to the KC on the 29th. Thats a tough schedule by anyones fancy. I wonder what they shall have left in the tank by saturday week ? I hear and read that Papa Smurff Ken Bates has already told Colin that there is No Money to spend in january. Oh dear lol.
