I wonder if the ones laughing and cheering that he wasn't playing are still laughing and cheering.
One thing is for sure he wouldn't have let them get the ball in so easily especially so many times.
    Embarrassing defending.
Top tip for our defenders, that RVP fella is a half decent player, any chance of one of you standing near him?

we have 1 good defender, well no we don't because Danny Rose aint even our player!!!

the amount of goals I have seen O'Shea gift oposition teams this season and what the hell was tightarse doing for ther third!!!

IMO we need a brand new back 4 for next season

the likes of Brown, O'Shea, Cuellar are no better than squad players, Killa and Bramble will be off in the summer when there contracts run out and I aint a fan of Bardsley.

Seriously?! There must be a transfer window at some point in the future when we stop buying loads of players...

O'Shea might have been rubbish today (against the best strikers in the league) but he was great against Reading in the week.

Barring Rose our defence are all over 30 all too slow and all injury prone I include Bardsley in that as well as he is starting to pick up knocks here there and everywhere. Brown and O'Shea were a gamble that hasn't paid off, yes JOS had a bad day yesterday it happens but he is having more and more bad days lately. Cuellar is okay but, was never a long term signing we need to get CBs in who don't have bones like spuggies and can actually move quicker than the average tower block.
Agreed it was a bad day against the top team but, we are having bad days against all the teams.

Bardsley isn't world-class but his attitude certainly is and he is a good solid EPL right back imo.

Valencia and Young wouldn't have found space so easy to find if both Bardsley and Rose had played.

However, JOS and Bramble were absolutely shocking for 2 of the 3 goals.

I wouldn't say Brown and O'Shea were gambles that didn't pay off. We only paid 1m for Brown and for me has justified that when he has played. O'Shea has largely kept fit and played well, I think we paid close to 4m for him. Again I think that he has represented value for money.

It wasn't, Mignolet's brilliance is the only reason we didn't ship a shedload in the first 8 games.

    Our defence is ****.

    What worries me Mush.
Is that they are experienced defenders yet none of them seem to think safety first and just get the ball out of the danger area.
If in doubt put it out.

O'Shea closing his ****ing legs would be a start.

He's like a Byker lass after a bottle of WKD.

The similarity doesn't end there either, he likes lifting his leg to the side so they can get their balls in too. :p

I agree defense is a big problem, they are all far too slow. I would like to see Killa get a run in the side at least he has some pace. We miss Brown big time, he has a calm head and seems to read the game extremely well.

I think Dawson would be a decent signing. I don't know what it is but players join us and look great then go down hill fast. Bramble, Turner and Ferdinand all looked great when we first bought them and they all look like donkeys now.
