There has been a lot of talk about pre game songs recently and I think if we did that this would be my choice. It is etched in my mind as my wembley song so that kinda gives it a city feel and if timed right could have the east stand singing "one day a year like this would see me right" just before kickoff http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C2L8m3JeVdo
The problem with that tune is that is has been widely used in jingles and advertising on tv over here. Doesn't have that uniqueness we are searching for...
Shame really It conjures up memories of Campbell to Windass for me. Didn't know it had been used to death on telly in the UK but I still think it would be better than an Elvis Presley song though
We don't play any Elvis songs anymore- it's a re-made version of Kashmir by Led Zepp and Reign by Unkle ft Ian Brown.
Actually I like that one too gives that joyous feeling about being at the KC full of hope and expectations for the day. Might notgo down too well in the middle of winter though with a gale blowining off the humber
Anyway, it changed to Eye of the tiger again this week. I'd rather have William Blake back. I loved that.
How about "she drives me crazy" by our Roland. Got a local connection and plenty of clapping opportunities in the chorus and city do drive us crazy a lot especially when we lose at home to teams like Peterborough that could work as well
If your going to pick a The Verve song it's got to be this!
That Elbow song was used by Sky at the end of our playoff final when it showed that Hull City would be dining around the PL table (that) next season. On my recording of the game on my Sky planner.
That Elbow song would more likely put everyone to sleep, it needs to be something to get the place going a bit of adrenalin kicking in. http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=LqbClLq1NkY No words so just add the Hull yourself.
