unfortunately I think you're right. he needs less than 300 yards to break the single season record. the vikes would have to make the playoffs at the very least to have any chance.
No chance Ryan or Schaub will get it. At this point it's a three-way race between Manning, Brady and Peterson. If Peterson breaks the record and/or the Vikings squeeze into the play-offs, he'll probably get it, if not it will likely be Manning.
