What is all this fuss about 4-4-2? Nobody in the PL plays it because you will get ripped apart in midfield.

    Every word spot on. <ok>

If we get Rose, stick Sess on the left with freedom to roam, Rose is more than capable of covering there.
McClean at the moment is making himself easy to stop.
Sess's flair will get him into position for a killer ball or at least freekicks in a dangerous area.

We can still play 4-5-1 with Connor and Fletch. connor up front to hold the ball up and Fletch in the hole to play off him.

Sess on the right and Adam on the left.

I honestly think Fletcher can play as a lone striker. It is more about the support he gets. If you have two good central midfielders, Sess off him and Johnson, new winger wide I think you would have the support he needs. The only thing I would say is that is a more modern way of playing a 433 type. I'm not sure about him as a lone striker in the typical 451/433 MON has employed throughout his career. Depends on MON's intentions formation wise for me. Wickham is tailor made for MON's typical tactics. Like a good version of Heskey!

Fletcher is there for one thing only, to score goals, he's not a midfielder, he's not a defender, he should'nt have to tackle, he should expect the rest of the team to do the work & to wait for the ball so he can do his job & score goals like other strikers
