Point taken, but it's hard for one player up front to ALWAYS pressure the opposing defenders. I thought he did as much as he could tbh.
I thought Stoke were poor as well. But Fulham didn't manage one shot on our goal all first half yesterday, and I don't think they had one until well into the 2nd from a free kick. I realise they had a bad day, but think our defensive performance especially in midfield contributed to that.
On reflection, with you on this one - first performance since the 1st half against Spurs where we haven't allowed the opposition to play. Berbatov was playing so deep and is so reluctant to Sweat that he was completely blotted out, and everything they do goes through him. Ale and M'bia ( need a nickname for him, I'm sick of finding the apostrophe key) had him tucked up all game. Now off to the Toon who's own manager is going on about their lack of resilience ........feeling good.
By saying this I take it you don't want him in the team? If he was put up for sale in January I would put every penny I own on him going to another Premiership Club or do you think he would only receive offers from the lower divisions? Would you like a personal bet on it just it case it happens, say 100 quid?
I don't you can fault Cisse in this game, the through ball in the first 1min of the game and Cisse pace is want caused that Adel was finding, even if he did nothing else in the game, for me, that was enough but he did. he closed down, more than he would normally would (may not have been shown TV) and was close to scoring a few times. I understand why people don't like him but from this game there was little fault.
