It's ****ing scary when you drive to work the day after being on the shot, and then can't remember **** all about the journey Mondays are especially bad for it.
whenever you get up and go "yeah, i'm probably okay to drive" wait 6 hours. then it dawns on you that you've made a grave error about 4 miles into the journey when you realise you've been looking at the trees going past instead of the road and that you're doing 70 in 3rd
i wouldnt have drank if i'd known i was in this office today, by the time i found out it was too late to get the train. five and drive, all the cool cats do it
On a Christmas night out years ago, one of my friends promised she'd get the train home and not drive. I left before she did. Around 2 in the morning, her husband called me, asking if I knew where she was. The stupid cow drove her car from our uni, along Gt Western Rd, near Garscadden Police station, weaving over the lanes, promptly stopped by police. Allegedly she spat on one of them, punched another one back at the station. Lost her licence for 3 years I think it was, fine and coz she's a 'professional', has to disclose this on every job application. She's never had a permanent post, only temporary, because of it. Stupid cow. She said when it went to court, when she walked in with her husband, everyone was drawing him filthy looks, thinking it was him in bother. Draws dropped when her name was read out.
i've been pretty good of late. never drink drive but used to drive the next day a lot when i was probably over (i know its the same thing but its different in my head somehow), there's been a couple of mornings when i've thought "if i crash this i cant be taken"
Everyone's done it, drove when they know they shouln't have, because of drink. Anyone who denies it is a liar. I've never done it.
When the road feels so narrow and every **** is going at about 100mph except you. That's when you know you shouldn't be driving . I try to avoid Monday driving,(or keep Sunday night bevvy in check) but must confess that sometimes fail . Not big or clever.
I had an ex who played that game. I used to sit behind him and put my arms around, trying to stop him from doing it.
