Just seen MOTD, Fellaini's gone berserk and head butted Shawcross on two separate occasions, followed up by a slap in the face. With any luck he'll be banned for when Everton come to St. Mary's in January.
Fellaini must get a massive suspension as he could have had three game bans for each incident. For the officials to miss it on each occasion seems rather pathetic so that might be taken into consideration. Shawcross has been involved in a few incidents but did well not to over react. He goes up in my estimation as he showed that though he plays hard he can take it just as well if not better than he gives.
Totally agree. Shawcross would normally have retaliated but just got on with it! Would be great to see Fellaini suspended. Should be at least four matches IMO. Did anyone see that horror tackle in the Barnsley match? A real career ender!
That game is currently seven games away for Everton (assuming they don't have an FA 3rd round replay the week before), so I think if the FA decide that he committed two straight-red violent-conduct offences, then we're alright. I'm sure your second straight-red of the season for violent-conduct is a four match ban (if you go back to Joey Barton on the last day of the last season, and his double red then). And hence the red for the headbut would be his first (three match ban) and the red for the punch would be his second (four match ban). Total of a seven match ban. As it happens, I really don't think baby headbut-elbow incident is worthy of a red. It was so pathetic and soft, I'm not even sure it's worth a yellow.
Don't think the FA determine what damage has been done...if it looks like a headbutt, it's a headbutt to them. What they will really frown on is the fact that one could be losing your rag, but a repeat performance is a serious matter.
I know it's bad but I can't help wanting West Ham to get thrashed today. Can't stand Nolan and Fat Sam!
I wanted to reel them back in, but have accepted that it's not likely to happen. I am prepared to concentrate my bitterness and voodoo on those teams that are a threat to us.
The significant thing is that David Moyes said "I've seen it, it's bad, and he deserves whatever punishment is coming to him." That is an honest man speaking, good for him.
Yes have always had a lot of time for Moyes. See he is being linked with United job again. He deserves a crack at it IMO.
Because it's a meaningless competition apart from getting a piece of silverware for the cupboard. Damn, we could have been fourteenth if Chelsea had stayed here.
Wish we had played them yesterday, would have fancied our chances. But I reckon Nigel will do wonders with this two week break. Sunderland were crap yesterday which is also good.
