Answer - very if your manager is saggy chops.....

All paper talk granted but I would hope that if he did go in January... Ba would have a little more ambition that choosing a move to QPR.
We're no great shakes at the moment granted but it would be a certain step down if he went there.

Harry Redknapp wants Queens Park Rangers to enter the bidding to sign Newcastle United striker Demba Ba in the January transfer window.

Arsenal are favourites to buy the 27-year-old Senegal player, who has a £7 million release clause, with Chelsea having expressed an interest if they fail to land their main targets of either Radamel Falcao or Gonzalo Higuaín.
It is well known that Ba would not pass a medical, however, as he suffers from a chronic knee problem and is also demanding wages of around £70,000 a week, which is more than Arsenal want to pay.
The player’s agents are also asking for fees of up to £2 million.

Redknapp is desperate to add at least one proven striker to his squad.

QPR are planning a move for Argentine Milton Caraglio, who plays for the Chilean club Rangers but Redknapp also wants a senior striker as there are hopes Djibril Cissé might be moved on.

Redknapp has been given a warchest of 15 brown envelopes (allegedly) to secure QPR's future in the Premier League this season.

 

Unless Demba is a complete mercenary. To be fair I noticed a thread on their board mocking the suggestion a few days ago.

There is nothing deluded about it.

Demba Ba will go wherever they pay the most money - he's not bothered about winning things, he just wants to make as much money as he possibly can.

If QPR are willing to cough £70k per week then he'll probably go... how else do you think they attracted half the players they have now to the club?

Prestige? Champions League football? Impressive stadium? The 1986 Milk Cup runners up medals?

Nah, money.

To be honest, if some people take current league position that seriously, then we don't look like that much of an attractive club.

Everton normally don't look like a good side mid season, but towards the end they do.

I think we will pick up in Jan and finish in the top 10.

People are very quick to make judgements. I personally think we will finish between 8-12th. I wont feel disappointed as long as we keep most of our best players.

We can recover and push on next season. We will probably lose Ba and Santon.

This season has been a lesson and an experience for the fans, the manager and the owner.

We will probably finish in a disappointing position this season, but we've been plagued by injuries, and we've also had Europe on top of that.

I have full confidence that 3-4 players that will leave will be replaced, and we'll be pushing for a top 7 place again next season.
