I thought Evans did well yesterday and maybe a bit unfortunate to be taken off. He wasn't the only one whose first touch was poor, and he wasn't the only one whose passing went astray. But he never stopped battling and never shied away from the ball. The team also played a lot through him, obviously they hadn't / haven't lost confidence in him. And I'd also go as far as saying that I thought Simpson did ok as well. True he missed a couple of chances, as did some of others, but as a lone striker he never stopped running and closing down defenders. A thankless task for a striker. Two unsung heroes yesterday doing crucial jobs for the team. Winning ugly is it called? There I said it .......
Good article, and nice to read something about their back ground. It's a pity the fail don't do some articles similar to this.
