Heard on Canary Call today that the ref had a go at someone in the crowd during the game. Quite surprised at this! The ref needs to be completely impartial and ignore the crowd. The crowd having a go at the ref is part of the game, they need to get on with doing their job!

He was attrocious, needs a good looking at because he completely lost his head today. Hate to think what he'd do in a more high risk or highly charged game.

Proper Hollywood, made a right twat of himself today. didn't matter in the end thank god.

    I, personally, was devastated.
If he'd made less mistakes, we'd have received fewer bookings. (? :emoticon-0112-wonde ?)

I think we suffered because Johnson was terrified of doing anything because Probert looked like he would have had a hard-on for giving him a second yellow.

Johnson was very professional though, very impressed by him.

    Pilkingtons looked completely undeserved.

    I'm going to pretend I didn't read that! <laugh>

For me, Pilkington's yellow card was rather inconclusive. But the ref did seem to have two different views on the advantage rule today!

I really want to get to the bottom of the ref's apparent interaction with the crowd though.

If I was the official in the stands marking the ref's score today I'd be concerned that he had a smug grin on his face. He absolutely revelled in the limelight like a pantomime villain. It was sickening at times.

The only thing the ref, who shall not be named, contributed was an atmosphere because without him it would have been pretty quiet!

The ref and Lino in front of the Jarrold were the worst officials I have seen in over 30 years could not believe how bad they were better standard available in L1

apparently he was the referee when we beat Arsenal so we have had him before and have won both games.

The atmosphere was really quite nasty towards the referee at times, in fact most of the fans spent as much time chanting 'the referee's a w*****' and 'how the f*** are you a ref?' to him then actually supporting the team. He hd a very poor game IMO, but I don't think anyone should have to be face that much hostility for trying to do their job.

    Sounds good to me! <ok>

Generally the sign of the crowd recognising an incompetent referee!

It appeared the was a period when the ref seemed to be penalising us without any reason, in our opinion. It looked 6 of one or two threes the other on most occasions so I can understand the crowd chanting. The ref is an easy target and I expect he has heard the chants over and over again and shouldn't react.
By the way, it was hard to see on the internet but was it a genuine handball shout second half?

Beginning to think that this referee works for MI5, or it is an offence to reveal his name. Its PROBERT.
