But preferable to socks, underwear and aftershave...I've still got some unused presents from 10 years ago!
I'm cool with all that. Just means I never have to go out and buy them myself.

Doing some late night browsing, found my Nan's birth on a register, interesting seeing it there in the olde style.
Anyone on here done anything of the sort? How could I take it further? Anyone know how to go about it and any good resources?
Having watched a few episodes of Who Do You Think You Are, apparently libraries are supposed to be good places to go.
It's something I'd love to do, even though it would probably be bog standard Mum's side being farmers from NI, dad's side being from around Southampton-Hastings region.
I'm led to believe one of my great (maybe great-great) grandfathers was a well-known smuggler, who managed to get alcohol and tobacco from mainland Europe.
I know vaguely that I descend from a clan that used to be situated on the England-Scotland border and would rob passers-by for their cattle.
That's how we roll.
Another thing, if you go way back on my dad's side, you end up in Scandanavia and the Vikings, and apparently I may be related to a King of Denmark. We're also supposed to suffer from a condition in our hands where the tendons are tight due to the way the vikings held their weapons....I think he may be making that **** up.
They say that if you go far enough back in any family you will find at least a minor member of royalty from somewhere within Europe.
I don't know much at all about my Dad's family, as his father was particularly unpleasant and eventually left the family.
