Just off the top of my head, I thought of David Fox, Mark Gower and Shaun Derry, they could all do a job for you and all add the experience you need!
We've said it all season, we're only a few players short of a good side that could really challenge. Shame we can't pick up points in games like today, we'd be up there with Cardiff and Palace if we could.
Whitbread is a liability, but your biggest problem is in CM - no bite their whatsoever - you need a Robbie Savage type player. Your other big problem is your manager - played right into our hands today and let us control the 2nd half - should have changed your system long before the goal as you were getting battered - and just listened to his post match interview and reckoned you played well
This isnt a dig. How we are set up we will always play better against teams who try and play football more and come at us. Millwall are mile too physical for our players. We have some very good technical players but in not many of our players can roll their sleeves up and scrap.
Obviously Millwall have improved vastly from when we played them. In that game, it could and should have been 9 in the first half and probably about 14 in the whole match! They were truly abysmal that day!
I think we missed Waggy today, perfect type of game for him. Waggy has the perfect mix of pace and strength
Well that's clearly a biased opinion. You booed Whitbread for leaving for bigger and better things and you've moaned about Nige all week
Well I dont know what happend today then! You did play some nice stuff - but all in your own half - and the first 20-25 mins 2nd half it was like the Alamo and we were throwing a lot of players forward but didn't see too much from you boys tbh, and in Morgan and the other cb you have they are quite physical themselves. Trotter and abdou in our midfield are not physical players but are busy and make tackles something I didsn;t see from your midfield. Your nbr 23 i think it was, was the dirtiest player on the pitch in what was not a dirty match, good fair tackles most of the time from both sides. You were just outplayed today - good game to watch tbh
He had you playing narrow to try and counter out strength in the middle - worked for 15 minutes, but KJ soon sussed it and put it right. 2nd half you tried to do the same - we had most of the possesion and every time you get the ball Dyer and been dragged into the iddle and you had no outlet other than Vardy whose 1st touch is abysmal - I really can't remeber King at all he was that absent - all Whitbread did was try to foul Wood and lump it long - you should have subbed Vardy off 20 minutes earler. AKCJ - Whitbread was good for us in League 1 but now I'm extremely relieved we have ****tu instead as 1 is a very good Championship player and one isn't
Funny, it's what we need too (although Meyler was fitting in well and Proschwitz could be the solution to the striker........).
ol We can be soft as shight away from home.. the whole league knows it now.., more imagination is needed to rectify it..not pearsons strong suit...,
I think you on about Anthony Knockaert (#24) Knockaert is best when were on the front foot and he doesnt like the physical side as much. On his day he is unplayable buy when its not he is a frustrating player and you worry he will do something stupid. Thats why Nigel took him off for Ben Marshall
