As mentioned in this thread, it's not in the interest if large corporations to provide free energy to their customers. Despite the environmental impact it's having, they are still trying to pursue the burning of depleting fossil fuels or advocating dangerous alternatives like nuclear and fracking. If you read about the story of Nicola Tesla, he was a genius. But his work was discredited and he died a poor and lonely man. His inventions were radical. His free energy tower, which basically took freely available charged particles from the ionosphere and transmitted them via wireless conductors was initially funded by J.P Morgan, one of the biggest bankers and champions of industry, but when he learned what free energy for all would mean to his bank and his capitalist friends, he pulled the plug. .
Free energy for all?? WHAT? AAHAHAHA conspiracy mode full on... An alternative way to transmit energy == free energy generation? How is it news that an investor who has a stake in a rival technology (copper lines) backs off of an investment? If the project had any promise other investors looking to get into the industry would pick up. The fact is Tesla had plenty of great inventions (and he is duly credited for his major inventions), but wireless power never showed promise or efficiency of being able to be used for anything practical. You have completely misunderstood the scope of function of the Tesla tower. (You have been making **** up all over this thread though, so credit for consistency) As for nuclear fusion, there really aren't many private enterprises involved in research anymore. There were plenty that co-operated early on with various prestigious universities, providing funds for research and whatnot but the advances in that tech have been disappointing, and there's plenty scholarly material out there to show that. It's no conspiracy. Sadly in the case of nuclear fusion even if there is a major scientific/engineering breakthrough and the private market is willing to come in with major investments, there will be very few western governments that are willing to go "against the people" on nuclear power. Another +1 for lefty populist FUD.
I PM'd you earlier to thank you for your sensible contribution to this debate and for resisting the temptation to start slinging insults, simply because we had different views but it seems that it was wasted on you. Carry on living in your entrenched narrow world view. You should try a bit of critical thinking some time
The "free energy for all" thing is laughable and you should really be ashamed you can even buy into that sort of argument. That is the absolute antithesis of critical thinking. You seem to know nothing of that situation, and you just made some **** up to contrive another scenario where capitalism supposedly ****ed up our chance of having nice things.
I suggest you read a bit more, as it was certainly a workable theory and initial experiments by Tesla were successful. It was never developed to its full potential, but the raw science was sound. I think your accusations of 'making up ****' are extremely arrogant and completely misguided. You might not agree with me, but at least try to keep the debate civil
I'm actually just reading into some of the other false claims you've made in this thread, and you can't expect for your views on energy or any scientific matter to be taken seriously when you make such statements. It is absolutely not true that tests were successfully conducted that "harnessed naturally produced electricity in the ionosphere". The experimentation in that area only had to do with the transmission of electricity, and the ionosphere was meant to be used as a conductor. The energy was generated by conventional means.
Please refer me to experiments that "harnessed naturally occurring energy" in the ionosphere. You clearly have got it confused. All the experiments were about wireless transmission of conventionally generated energy.
There will never be free energy for everyone, even if it was possible, it'd never happen, so it doesn't matter one way or the other, that's just the way it is.
There's plenty of information out there. Do some research For those who don't know Tesla, this is a very short video about some of Tesla's work.
ok to edit titles of mod threads then, but not those of ordinary members? Devious cnut - using this place like your personal playground once again... <insertwhistlesmileyheretodisguisehypocrisy>
Here's another short video that explains a bit more about energy from the Ionisphere
I am familiar with Tesla's work, and his plan to use the ionosphere as a conductor. I am also familiar with recent research on ionosphere conductivity. I am more than familiar enough to say that no "free energy" or capturing energy from the ionosphere is involved in any of his work for the Wardenclyffe Tower... There is ABSOLUTELY NO historical or scientific contest that it was ever about harvesting electricity, but only about wireless transmission. It's even in his patents if you want the definition from the man himself. Stop digging a hole for ****s sake.
Well it's very safe to say it isn't possible unless the second law of thermodynamics was broken... But even for energy sources that are there for the taking (i.e. sun, wind, lightning? etc) there will always be costs involved to turn that into usable energy, storing it (for 'seasonal' technologies), distributing it efficiently (e.g. for solar power), then distributing it to homes smaller networks. There will always be wealth to be made and people to be served.
And here's a slightly longer video, that gives an insight into Tesla's work. Don't take my word for it, I'd urge you to just investigate it for yourself rather than dismiss it because it doesn't fit with the 'accepted' view of the world. Piskie a tip if I may. When someone accuses you of being a "nutter" () you don't post a video like that first one. I am saying please link me to his work where he harnessed (through observed experiments) naturally occurring electricity from the ionosphere, simple enough, as it seems central to your claim. (not his work on transmitting and receiving electricity wirelessly with the ionosphere acting as a conductor, there is enough published material, and patents, for that)
Who the hell is trying to dismiss Tesla's legitimate work? His published and scientifically validated work is accepted everywhere. I'm contesting a very specific bullshit claim of yours. Man up now, it's nothing to do with Tesla.
Your insults of 'nutter' are wide of the mark and show you up as being extremely arrogant. As for harnessing power from the Ionosphere, see the video in post 154, which is directly linked to his work on transmitting and receiving electricity with the ionosphere as a conductor.
