The expected team for us is Szczesny, Sagna, Koscielny, Djourou, Clichy, Song, Wilshire, Fabregas, Walcott, Nasri, RvP.

Squillaci may come in for Djourou and Ramsey may come in for Fabregas if they don't recover from their injuries though. Also Samir might be dropped for Arshavin given how poor his form is.

Our team will probably stay the same so it will be: Begovic, Wilkinson, Huth, Shawcross, Wilson, Pennant, Whelan, Whitehead, Delap, Jones, Walters.

After the way Arshavin played when he came off the bench at the weekend, I wouldn't be surprised if he played, he uncharacteristically worked hard and closed down the United players.

Yeah I heard he put in a very un-Arshavin type performance. Given our recent form I cannot call the result at all, what kind of team beats united after a 15 game streak with 1 win or something stupid like that? As we are out of the title race the lack of pressure can either make us perform better (like we did last week) or much worse (like we did against Wigan last year *shudder*). I would not be surprised to see you beat us at all.

Just realised I put in Etherington in the team that I reckon will play. So used to putting his name in. Doh!!

I just hope it isn't marred by anything unsavoury like it has on a couple of occasions. I hope it's the sort of match the FA Cup 4th Round match last season, where there were no bookings or any controversy, just 2 teams playing a good, entertaining football match.

  6. Agreed hoping for a entertaining match and Stoke getting something from those boys from North London. ( I feel I am being too polite here.) Anyway have posted elsewhere words of 'Swing Low Sweet Chariot' for those who want to join me singing a rendition to Whinger.

<laugh> You know he only said that to try an influence the ref when we played blackburn? I doubt that he actually doesn't like you.

I tried to place a £10 treble bet @ the local bookies

Stoke to beat Arsenal (this weekend)
Stoke to win the FA Cup (this season)
Stoke to win next years Europa Cup

Bookie says, sorry mate i can't accept that bet.

    I said why not?

He said if that came off, you would Bankrupt me!!!!!!

Mighty Huth- Bet it would mate, if anywhere would give us odds on europe it'd be 1000s/1.

I've got an 18/1 on beating Arsenal and winning the FA Cup though.

Probably just doesn't want to cause any more controversy.

I'm just glad the decent Arsenal fans have come on here and the 606 board. As some of the nasty ones have been sending abuse via Twitter to some Stoke fans. One in particular was several Arsenal fans abusing a 16 year old girl on my Twitter, calling her dumb, inbred, c**t. Some of them suggest that we're all jealous of Arsenal, personally i'm not, I cannot speak for the rest of the fans, they also said that neither Shawcross or Stoke has apologised in any way, which is a lie.

Sorry for the rant guys, this has got me really riled up!!

Just had this off an Arsenal fan on the 606 board: "why don't you go suck your mums balls to relax then you incest townie!!!" Some fans have such class don't they?!!

Well some arsenal bloggers have been trying to get the fans all fired up (http://arseblog.com/ for example) and some stoke bloggers have probably been doing the same but I try to stay clear of that kind of thing. I think over time it will just die down.

Alan Davies (in case you cannot remember him he's the bloke who's only famous now because of Stephen Fry) has been slagging us off on Twitter, including me as well. In one of his tweets he took 4 comments from a Stoke board saying they might boo Ramsey, and took it to mean we're all going to do it. I tweeted to him a comment from an Arsenal fan on the 606 forum earlier (it's not there anymore because it got modded) saying they hoped Ramsey put Ryan out of the Final next week and he responded coldly: "Dry your eyes." What a prick. If a Stoke fan said that he'd be baying for blood. I cannot stand that man. GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Rant over for now.

Rant continues. When a Stoke fan tweeted him saying he was going to abuse (as in sing songs about them) the Arsenal players, Alan Davies responded: "Get a good nights sleep. And a diet." I don't mind banter with opposition fans but I cannot condone nastiness like that. It's a horrid thing to say.

Telling someone they need to get a diet isn't the nastiest thing I have ever heard someone say...
