Steve Bruce waited for Alan Lee after the game and it started to kick off again as they were going down the tunnel
That's weird! The Radio Leeds commentary has now been taken off (for contractual reasons) before the Leeds match starts, yet they were allowed to play our match? How does that work?
As has already been said pity a good win was marred by the sending off. But on the bright side up to joint 2nd, even if only for a couple of hours, and the win is the most important thing.
Did Bruce just shove him? I saw the Hudders player go down like a sack of ****, and it I thought intially Bruce had smacked him or nutted him. All got a bit ugly. I enjoyed it immensely.
Teams came out to Eye of the Tiger. Didn't sounds as cheesy as it used to. Also, it was edited so there was no singing. Although the singy version was played at half-time.
Hull manager Steve Bruce revealed he will contest the controversial sending-off of his son Alex that took the gloss of a 2-0 win over Huddersfield. The Tigers defender was red carded after the full-time whistle for a shove on Alan Lee, who was accused of making a meal of the situation by the Hull boss. "We are appealing his red, you can understand why," Bruce said. "I knew there must have been something in it for him to react like that. "I thought it was cowardly by Alan Lee, I thought more of him, I have had a pint of Guinness with him, I have played his guitar and I thought more of him. "Cheat is the right word for him, I don't use that lightly but that's the right word for him. He's 15-and-a-half stone and he went down like that. "That has ruined the afternoon, we had the best referee in country in Howard Webb and I have spoken to him. He will report it and hopefully there is some justice. "Alex is wrong with his retaliation, but he only pushes him in the chest. He's my son but he takes after his mother." Before the ugly scenes at the end, Hull recorded their third straight victory thanks to Robert Koren's eighth-minute strike and a second in added time from David Meyler, although Bruce believes the scoreline flattered the Terriers. "It was an excellent performance and we were the better team by a million miles," he added. "Our only Achilles heel is our conversion of chances that we create."
Sat in the west stand it looked like he was pushed in the chest and never touched his face, he was nowhere near his face. However i can see why Webb sent him off he raised his hands, but i am pretty sure Bruce was elbowed, but i am not 110%.
